OK, so I'm listening to Ed Schultz on the way home from work,
and here's his newest promo:

"Leadership is not a toll free number...unless you're calling 1-800-we got Ed" (or whatever the number is).

How cool is that?

1. Does this mean Big Eddie is over his bad-Kerry phase?
Cuz I like Big Eddie, but I was not feeling the love there for a while. And I wish Sen. Kerry would call in. Teddy calls in and Big Eddie likes Uncle Ted just fine.

On the other hand, I saw a newsreport of Uncle Ted in NOLA today and some men should never, ever, never leave the top button open on their polo shirts. Brrrrrr. That's not right Uncle Ted. There are children watching at that hour.

3. I'm not sure.
I have a 10 minute commute, and I have no choice of talk radio stations since Sirius dropped AAR. So it's 10 min of Bill Press in the morning, and 10 min of Big Ed in the afternoon.
If I had a choice, I'd probably not listen to Schultz. Too many fish recipes and football stories.
I just thought the promo was interesting.

Funny re Teddy, BTW.

4. Well, I was a bit pissed about that one
Uncle Ted got the front page of the Globe today. My other Sen didn't get the front page when he went to the Gulfport area. On the other hand, the pic had Dodd, Leibermann and Kennedy in it and they were all on cell phones, so it was kind of a goofy pic. (And no one, ever, ever wants to see 72 year old chest hair. It'll put you off your evening meal for sure.)

And I wish Sen. Kerry would call into some of these shows. He gives great interview and can be funny and witty on the fly. I don't understand why he doesn't do more of this. I know Big Eddie is new, but he and Boxer get along great. No reason to expect otherwise for Kerry.

Yeah, I got Sirius for Christmas last year. Sigh! Guess I gotta switch this year to XM.

6. It would be nice if Kerry was in one of the Sunday shows
Unfortunately, it seems this will not be the case this week again. (Obama on CBS and Clinton on NBC). I am not sure why Kerry is so reticent to do these types of shows, but it would be nice for once not to see the same heads again and again.

As for the Globe, no surprise there, unfortunately.

11. It's ironic that we all had to argue that Kerry's trip
to deliver needed supplies and talk to officials was not a photo op. Then he doesn't even get a front page picture in his local paper

2. First tell me that Kerry is getting credit for that, and then I'll be
happy.

I don't want anyone to think that is his line.

8. I made it, but I'm not happy with it just yet.
I will work on it a bit first. Maybe a little larger type? I think it would make a great t-shirt, too.
I am going to make one for Big Ed and sent it to him. Just to see if he comments.

I'm going to buy the button. Very cool.

10. OK, this is it.

Now that I've corrected the punctuation and made the text very slightly larger.
It's actually not a direct quote, but I'm not selling it, and besides, I think the Senator would forgive me.

Thanks for the advice.

12. Also, in today's paper, they are saying that the
toll-free number was overwhelmed even before Bush mentioned it.
