Don't really know what we're doing/where we're going yet; frankly, I don't know where to start but that ugly word 'tornado' keeps rearing its ugly head many times.

6. Uhm, my opinion

If it were me I'd have 3 plastic bins. One for food & first aid, one for shoes & blankets, and one for momentoes. It is the momentoes you cannot replace, especially if you have sent pictures to family members around the country. That's my emergency system anyway.

My God, I just heard the latest on Rita, and this is going to be a big one. I pray God you and your family will be safe. You will be in my prayers along with anyone else in it's path. I'm pretty sure my grandson in the Air Force (somewhere near San Antonio) is well inland enough to be safe. Please get back to the grooup as soon as you're safe and settled in someplace!! 8. Thanks, all. The hatches are battened, and we're having a few

'pops' now. I convinced my husband to leave tomorrow. I don't quite know where to, though several DUers have been very generous with their offers. I think we're driving towards San Antonio and beyond until we can find a hotel room. As much as I love my home, I don't want to be here if it caves in. Thanks for all the good wishes, and I hope I'll be back to posting by next week.
