Anyone listening to Franken?
Edited on Thu Sep-29-05 01:31 PM by whometense
He has Tom Oliphant on, and Tom's being very critical of McCain and Lindsey Graham. Talk about your breath of fresh air...

"I'm getting pretty (fed up? can't remember his exact words) with some of our so-called moderate Republican friends."

He's talking about Abu Ghraib.

I LOVE Oliphant.

1. Can we Clone Oliphant
Every paper needs one of him. He seems so much more real than most of the other "name" journalists.

I saw McCain on most of the Sunday talk shows talking about his bill on making the US follow international law on POWs - every one of the hosts were so deferential, none asking why he didn't make it an issue in 2003 (when Kerry called for Rumsfeld to be fired). It is more than 2 years later including a time when he was very close to the person who could have stopped it. How special that he now wants to get his name on a bill to outlaw it. The press may let him run on it because, you know, he was a POW.
