3. why is it important to this other poster that Kerry says he is a liberal?

This drives me as crazy as the fact that they can decide somebody is good or bad because he belongs to the DLC list.

Cant they just look at what the person stands for or is it too much work?

5. It's up there with the mythical idea

that Kerry lost because he didn't come right out and say he no longer supportede the Iraq War. There is no credible evidence that this is the case, indeed substantial evidence exists that Kerry lost (fraud aside) based on the perception that Dems are soft on terrorism. (With along caveat that I could tack on, but won't now.)

6. Oh, I see now and I agree with you. Yes, why can't people look at

WHAT POLITICIANS DO, THEIR ACTIONS not just what they say and yes, why can't they look at the person instead of this "perception" of "liberal" or "conservative" - the criminals in this regime are NOT CONSERVATIVES by any stretch of the imagination. It's so obvious.

I hate that whole "liberal" v "conservative" thing anyway because I consider myself liberal on some matters and conservative on others. I do not think of myself as a "liberal" but I would certainly be branded as such these days.

I didn't even read the other thread I just get irritated when people here at DU attack our own so blatantly. I don't just sit quietly by here I usually start a counter thread; well for the big guns anyway (ie Kerry, Dean, Gore, etc.)

I truly believe that those who actively work against prominent liberal Democrats have a negative agenda - one that does not include electing more Democrats and taking the country back. Of course Kerry is my favorite because he is a man of honor and courage who has consistenly stood up for what is right, but I will support any and all Democrats who are trying to do what's right for America.
