* is giving a 'major speech' on Iraq tomorrow |
|
Any chance that we might hear from Mr. Kerry on same? He is due to deliver a 'major speech' on Iraq and this sounds like as good a time as any. KG: Anything on your end about this?

1. Maybe Kerry is waiting till after the Iraqi constitution vote |
|
Saying anything realistic (which the Republicans will call negative) before the vote, could be used by Bush to hang the failure of the vote to make Iraq better around Kerry's neck. Seeing that he's waited this long, isn't it only another 10 days or so?

2. At this stage, I dont care what Bush says and does. |
|
I expect leadership from the Democrats, and, honestly, I do not see it from any Dems (listening to Byrd right now and hearing the only speech until now concerning the $ 50 billions dollars in the Defense Appropriation Bill for Iraq).

I think there's a speech coming. He indicated it himself at the Brown Univ. speech and then indicated to Cindy Sheehan that he was going to speak up.
I want to hear this. I liked what Clinton had to say about the two-month deal, then start bringing the troops home. If this is a Dem position, then Ic an get behind it.
Kerry has been on TV whenever * has given a big Iraq speech, that's why I was wondering about the speech. Plus the Senate is debating the money now and it seems like an opportune time.

Too bad he does not want to run. I would support him no problem.

shaming the DoD over the lack of body armor, even though they legislated for it last year! At least that's what I heard--I was listening and doing something else at the same time.
