Kerry. give us a sunny Sunday!!!
Edited on Sat Oct-15-05 08:57 PM by Mass
As Kerry can do everything, I figured I can as well ask for that.

Today has been pretty tough. 24 hours of non stop rain. My in-laws's pump has broken and they have 6 " of rain in the basement, so my husband had to drive 100 miles in the rain to help them (they are 93 and 85), so I have to keep my 13 year old busy inside by myself. So I really hope this will stop.

This is what I want to do tomorrow.

I hope that everybody is fine and that nobody has had serious damage or problems.

1. I hope you finally see the sun tomorrow too!
We've been cloudy for about ten days, but we haven't had NEARLY as much rain as you guys have been getting. The sun finally came out here today, so maybe it will make its way up north tomorrow! Hope everything is okay at your in-law's house!

2. Thanks. Apparently, all will be fine after cleaning.
They are so independent at their age. I hope I can be like that when I am 10 years younger, but at their age, this type of things is obviously a big problem.

And hopefully, I will be able to go see the foliage and take pictures. B-):-)B-):-)B-):-)

3. I miss the oaks turning a brilliant red.

I have just green trees and some yellow leaves on the ground. (And 12 inches of rain. We had minor, minor leaking in the basement, but nothing a wet/dry vac couldn't handle.) It is rather dreary. Maybe that's why I have been reading statistical analysis of the Democratic vote since 1952. I found it riveting, btw. (Well, I did. Someone has to!)

It will look sort of like this near my house:

I am a foliage nut. But it's late this year and it's raining and I really miss the colors. They are all gone about two weeks after they start. I hope something can be salvaged of it this year.

I hope your in-laws are okay. And I hope you get to see some color this year.

5. My sister in law lives in AZ - We were there last August
Hot and dry.

We drove from Tempe to Las Vegas. Here in MA, it is difficult to imagine that there are places so desertic and empty.

7. I work in Tempe.
Small world.

It is different out West then the east.
Phoenix is really growing fast tho, but still nothing like the older cities. Everything is spread out.

8. I hope you get a sunny day soon
It's been really nice here. Very fallish weather. :) I'm wearing comfortable sweatpants now. :)
