Just kidding!!! I saw where Kilgore is skipping it but it's "not a snub". Yeah Jerry, whatever.

1. I heard he was going to be here
:puke: Probably will talk at one of the bases. I can get on any of the bases, but I have got to work. He'll probably screw up traffic as if it isn't screwed up enough already.

Did they say where the idiot was going to speak ?

2. I just looked it up
He's going to be speaking to the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce at Chrysler Hall at 10 a.m. That should set downtown traffic back a bit!

His topic ... wait for it .... global terra. (Now THAT'S something the Chamber of Commerce can assist with I'm sure. )

3. OMG
Forget about anyone getting to work in downtown Norfolk on Friday. Oh I have to see if anyone is planning on protesting this. Dang I have to work.

4. Seriously, could he have picked a spot more in the epicenter of the city?
I hope there are some protesters. There has to be some. I'd love to come up but I have to work too. Damn job.

5. I have to take my daughter to preschool at that time, so it really
wouldn't work for me, even if I had the desire to go. I actually would go see him if it were convenient -- why not? He's POTUS (sort of), and I actually saw his Dad in 1992 in Wisconsin. I didn't vote for him, but it's still interesting. You know, looking at the Secret Service, scoping out the people, just that whole presidential ambience that comes with the job, regardless of who it is. But I would probably be bored with the speech. You know -- 911, 911, 911, terror, terror, terror, terrorists, et al. Would I shake his hand? Not an issue -- I would just hang back.

But here's the funny thing. Since my car has a K/E bumper sticker on it, who'd be willing to bet that I wouldn't be allowed in? The guy doesn't respect free speech, and real discourse. But he wouldn't have anything to fear with me as I'm way too shy to heckle. I would be a model citizen, but I'm pretty confident that bumper sticker would cause me a whole lotta trouble. Best to stay home.

Funny about Kilgore -- I mean I think people still love * here (in VB). Why isn't Kilgore using him? A lot of military types will go see *, and that's just weird that * is so lame. Well, I guess that makes our gubernatorial election officially VERY local, with both the pres. and former pres. candidate both being told to stay away.

6. I could never go see him
I would either get sick or wouldn't be able to control myself when he spews his lies and propaganda.

Norfolk is very liberal, I think Kerry got over 60% of the votes. They probably will have a lot of military there and the Bushbots from Virginia Beach.
