wouldn't work for me, even if I had the desire to go. I actually would go see him if it were convenient -- why not? He's POTUS (sort of), and I actually saw his Dad in 1992 in Wisconsin. I didn't vote for him, but it's still interesting. You know, looking at the Secret Service, scoping out the people, just that whole presidential ambience that comes with the job, regardless of who it is. But I would probably be bored with the speech. You know -- 911, 911, 911, terror, terror, terror, terrorists, et al. Would I shake his hand? Not an issue -- I would just hang back.
But here's the funny thing. Since my car has a K/E bumper sticker on it, who'd be willing to bet that I wouldn't be allowed in? The guy doesn't respect free speech, and real discourse. But he wouldn't have anything to fear with me as I'm way too shy to heckle. I would be a model citizen, but I'm pretty confident that bumper sticker would cause me a whole lotta trouble. Best to stay home.
Funny about Kilgore -- I mean I think people still love * here (in VB). Why isn't Kilgore using him? A lot of military types will go see *, and that's just weird that * is so lame. Well, I guess that makes our gubernatorial election officially VERY local, with both the pres. and former pres. candidate both being told to stay away.
