So I've got this poster saying he's going to fight Kerry in the primaries |
|
in 2008.
So I ask him, who did he support in the primaries of 2004.
Dean. Then Kusinich, Braun, Sharpton, and whoever he saw as fighting the Bush agenda esp. on the war.
I'm fighting the urge to go back now and respond: "Guess I don't have to worry about you then."
That was my reason for asking anyway. So many refer to Kerry as a loser, but then they seem to forget the guy they backed didn't make it either. Must have been Kerry's dirty tricks. Winning: what a dirty trick. How dare he win. It was a Skull and Bones, Diebold plot I tell ya.

He's just, fickle, would be a nice way to put it. I think he really wanted to get behind a candidate, but just too easily swayed by whatever hot button issue of the day.

it seems all they do is rant about how they just wont support Kerry or they will go against him or leave the party. so do it already. what they want is just attention for their rants. don't give it to them. just ignore them.

I just asked who he supported, and then quietly went away. I have no intention of answering him (mutter, mutter, mutter.)

9. Giving them attention just fans the flames |
|
Let 'em burn themselves out with their sputtering and outrage. I am past giving a shit about the whiny losers who never got over March. Kerry doesn't need assholes like that working on his campaign anyway. They'd serve themselves and us better if they did follow up on their threats to go third party, IMO.

My first instinct is to fight back. But it's so a WASTE OF TIME with these morans. And it just ends up making me pissed, which is bad for my blood pressure. So for my own sake I try to avoid them; I'm not going to change their mind anyway, the whiny babies.

13. they just want attention mostly anyways |
|
anytime you respond and try to reason with them they just get what they want and a chance to respond back with more crap.
i have been on DU for years, long before the primary voting started and have been through this crap. i use to get worried and almost always respond and try to reason with people. but later on i just started ignoring them. and it felt much better. i would just ignore them when they posted some anti kerry crap ,especially when the their comments had nothing to do with the article posted. it just makes them look like fools anyways.
the same with people who threaten to leave the party. if they want to leave then leave. i spend years arguing with the same types about why they shouldn't leave but you know, it's just a waste of time. and it's probably what they want. it's much better to get out there and try to get others to join the party or vote for your candidate or issue. that's what i mostly started doing.

|
then I wish they just would leave and stop threatening to leave.
Just leave fer chrissakes.
Makes me think they want attention more than anything.

12. I've been trying to be good too |
|
But the times when I can't resist, I try instead of responding to them to respond around them: either by posting below their post (rather than directly to their post) in a dismissive manner without giving them the satisfaction of addressing them, or by responding to the positive person they're arguing with in support.
Although I must admit, last night I went off on one who said we were Kerry ass-kissers. I couldn't help myself. But I didn't stoop to his level; I told him he should be ashamed of himself.
And then I alerted on him and whaddya know, post disappeared. :)

16. It was just some jerk who burst into seito's thread |
|
about ideas for "being our own media" to randomly say that we were just kissing Kerry's ass. Totally out of nowhere and had nothing to do with the topic.
Like I said, I alerted, and the post disappeared. I don't know about the poster; I forgot to check.

I was going to give up on DU, but a nice person (who posted on this thread ;) ) told me to come here to this forum.
They will never get over it, and I for one am sick of their whining.
