Hi! Welcome to the John Kerry forum at DU. This is just an intro thread and allows 'newbies' to come on in and introduce themselves (if they feel like it, not mandatory by any means) and ask questions, tell us we're crazy and other assorted things. (We are sort of crazy, btw. It's okay, we know it.)
I'm TayTay. I live in Northeastern Massachusetts and have been posting on DU only since Dec of '04. I am opinionated, hate the Rethugs and am, obviously, quite fond of my Senator. :loveya: I am part-time Class Clown here (I never get Most Likely to Succeed or Best Dressed, sigh, but I'll take Class Clown, it's not so bad.) I have been voting for John Kerry since '82 in statewide Mass races. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I like to point it out from time to time. (Other people do know more than me and have deeper memories and knowledge about JK.)
This is a fun group. We are occasionally really geeky about some things, get all pissed off about negative threads in other parts of DU and then find we get all grumpy and out of sorts so we solve that by putting up pic threads. (Picture threads are just that, threads composed of pictures that in some way, shape or form, have something to do with JK. Mostly. Unless they are just really good pics and we can't resist. And occasionally we post pics of pets. Cuz. Just cuz.) It's a tradition, especially on Friday nights. (Cuz once you get to the weekend, you need a pic thread.) Oh, and we are, by far, the largest 'Group' on DU. By far. We must be doing something right. (Or a lot of people just like pic threads.)
Ahm, we know we have a lot of people who check in and post here. So, go ahead, newbies, ask us anything and we will struggle to answer. You are most welcome here. :patriot:
