John Kerry Holds Press Conference in Boston on New Legislation to Increase Penalties for Downloading Child Pornography

John Kerry held a press conference in Boston today to speak about his recently introduced legislation that would increase penalties for anyone who downloads child pornography off the Internet. ‘Masha’s Law’ is named for Masha Allen, who was adopted from a Russian orphanage at age 5 by an American man who began sexually abusing her and posted hundreds of pornographic images of her on the Internet.

It's not enough, IMO, but it's a good start. Sen Kerry's point that the penalties are stiffer for downloading songs on the internet is really shocking, isn't it?
I have not seen anything on this yet outside of Boston. Where is the MSM?
Oh, and take that, Santorum. I will never forgive that ahole for the comments he made about Boston and pedophilia. Who's protecting the children, Ricky? Looks like the Senator from Massachusetts to me.
I'm so ashamed that Santorum is my sen, I could just die from the humiliation.

I reported earlier today, that John Kerry held a press conference today in Boston heralding Masha’s Law, bipartisan legislation thatr will dramatically increase penalties for anyone who downloads child pornography off the Internet.

That was a terrific segment. I remember this sad story. She is such a courageous young lady and I'm so happy for the alliance she and Kerry have formed. He is so committed and she is so brave. Wow that point he made about downloading songs just shows where the heart of the powers that be lie: in a bed of money.

I breaks my heart to think that anyone could do to a child what was done to this young lady. I'm thankful that she has people like JK standing up for her and fighting for all kids. What he said about the penalty being three times greater for downloading songs than it is for downloading child pornography is just unconscionable.

I caught some of this when it came on the TV tonight. Wow! Great stuff. This was a warm story and that legislation should pass unanimously. (Who could oppose that?)

I wonder if Sen. Kerry gave any interviews today when he was in town? I know he's heading overseas and I was just wondering if he talked to the Globe or Herald today. Also, I know he will be in Pakistan next weekend, but I wonder if he will be at any of the MLK Day breakfasts and commemorations in Boston next weekend. (Hey, I know it's local stuff, but, he is still a Sen from MA. He does local stuff a lot.)
