Small Business Group at DU

I just ran across this because of a post on "Latest" asking about a small biz group.

We should try to be sure stuff JK does on small biz gets posted there, huh? The group could use the activity. And small biz really should be a key issue (and core constituency) for Democrats.

1. small business is the wave of the future.

All the big ones are overseas using slave labor. The problem is...it's tough to start a small company in today's environment. Funding isn't there. And cheap imports are.

I'm a small biz owner, but that group hasn't been too active since I joined DU. Next time I read something about JK helping small businesses, I'll remember to head over there.

We really want people involved in small biz to know that Kerry is working for them.

One of my failures as a canvasser was not knowing nearly enough about JK. (To be honest, the people organizing the canvassing didn't feed us much info. I guess they thought we would have done our own research. Right.) I remember one house where I was talking to the wife and she was claiming that Kerry would do things to hurt small biz, and she was worried about her husband's business if Kerry got elected. Well now I know how off base she was, and some things I could have replied with, but I didn't know then. I remember thinking as I walked on to the next house, "the Dem party needs to get its act together on small business!" So now I am thinking we just need to do a better job of communicating what people like Kerry are doing.

I knew the group was there, just didn't think about posting JK stuff to it. doh. Then again, I already get accused of being an agent provacateur!!
