Haven't been posting much. Turns out that the bruised ribs turned out to be two fractured ribs. In addition now I have acute bronchitis!! REally feels great when I cough :nuke: but they finally got me on some good drugs,"percocet" when taken, "I'm OKAAAAAAAAAAY!!! Out here in "la la" land! Just posting to say HI!!!:silly: DC

My husband had fractured ribs several years ago, can't even imagine that with the broncitis. Eeek!!

Funny drug story. My daughter was taking something for her tooth. She was talking to her mother-in-law on the phone who is just a real case, honest, even her son says so. She is just a take her the way she is person otherwise you'd have to kill her. So anyways, my daughter tells me she talked to her for an entire half hour and was so proud because it went really well. Kiddingly I said, you were on those painkillers, weren't you. Hahaha, turns out she was!

7. Fractured ribs AND bronchitis!!???!!!

Ouch, that's gotta hurt! I've had several bruised ribs over the years from fighting in karate class and that's one of the most painful injuries I've ever had. (A lot more painful than when I broke my hand in class.) It hurt to breath, it hurt to laugh, it hurt to roll over in bed ... I can't imagine having fractured ribs and bronchitis at the same time! Take care of yourself and don't go walking dogs again any time soon!

and thanks for the offer, but between the excitement on TV with all that's going on, and "lurking" on DU,and between being in and out of La La land on the percocet, I really don't have much time for reading. I will make this post a BIG THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!! for caring, and I'll take all the prayers and good thoughts I can get. I just want to feel like myself again !!! From the looks of it now, I may have my Christmas tree and decorations up 'til Spring!! Fortunately I have great kids who are keeping my sidewalks and porches shoveled, otherwise I be snowed in til Spring as well! We are having a Jan. thaw here this week, but I'm afraid we'll be paying for it come March and April. Ya know Mother Nature and that "balance thing"! Much love and :grouphug: DC

As others here have noted, those injuries are no joke. Heal up and get better.

And, ahm, I cannot imagine watching the Senate Hearings on Alito on percocet. There are several Senators on that committee who are already unreal and watching them on pain medication, well, that has got to be something. Wow! (Sen. Kerry said something like this about his experience with his recovery from surgery three years ago. It's very strange to watch C-Span on pain medication. LOL!)
