NEW DELHI: India will get an opportunity to push its campaign for civil nuclear energy cooperation with the US and raise the issue of clandestine proliferation when former Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry meets manmohan Sigh on Wednesday.

Kerry, who comes here weeks ahead of US President George W. Bush, will hold talks on a wide array of bilateral matters, including the nuclear deal and burgeoning business ties between the two countries.

"The nuclear deal is on top of his agenda for discussions with Indian leaders," diplomatic sources said.

2. This is a wonderful photo and a nice article.

They treat Senator Kerry with the respect he deserves, probably because they recognize that Kerry knows what he is talking about and that he's a man of his word. These things may not play well in our own country at the moment (sad to say) but they are important in other countries. It We are no longer the progressive nation we used to be considered to be in the eyes of the world.

NEW DELHI, JAN 11 (PTI)

US Senator and former Democrat Presidential candidate John Kerry met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here today and the two leaders are understood to have discussed the ongoing bilateral talks on civilian nuclear cooperation among various facets of bilateral relations.

The two leaders are also believed to have shared views on various regional and international issues of mutual concern, official sources said.

The regional issues included those related to Pakistan, Afganistan, Nepal and Iran, they said.
