In agreement with Gore that Bush is breaking the law: Yes, definitively (gives examples).
In agreement with Hillary Clinton Bush administration one of the worst in history: One of the most derelict in responsibility in history, sure (gives examples).
Kerry has the most beautiful eyes :loveya:

6. Is it me, or does Wolf ask the most uninspired questions ever? |
|
Still, the Senator did a good job, and he looked fantastic. Can't wait till he's back in the Senate.
Wolf may be doing us a service by talking about how JK, Gore, and Sen. Clinton are all unified against the administration - but that's kind of a no-brainer, isn't it?

But CNN could have ignored it, as usual. Of course the Democrats are on the same page, but just look at this board and see how many are looking for affirmation. Imagine how many people just watching the news wouldn't even get a feel for this if not for repetition, now of three opinions.
By the time he gets back from the trip it will be old news. It's even funny that they interviewed him from overseas. I almost get the feeling it's not a favor, that in some twisted way (RW) they want to position the Democrats to take what they think are controversial positions, when I believe the Democrats' position, especially with regard to Bush, is more in line with a majority of the country.

17. I agree--let's take it where we can get it |
|
This was very good exposure--Kerry not taking any time off during the break--instead, acting as Shadow Secretary of State! If Wolfie is boring, then he makes JK look all the more interesting. And he did look good. I think time away from Washington is very good for him--even if he's in a war-torn country. He was out there getting face time with everyday people, just like during the campaign.
I just loved it when, asked if he agreed with Gore, just said a strong, "Yes." and kept looking steadily at the camera. And somebody yesterday was saying that all the Dems that want to run for office again would be too afraid to associate themselves with Gore's remarks!!
:woohoo:

11. That they were so uninspired was ok |
|
because it did let Kerry both talk about the wiretapping issue (which he and many of the Senators spoke about a month ago) and the Hillary question was really a tell me why Bush is bad question. His answer to that was not the predicable one but instead a list of all the areas where Bush is failing us - which was more effective. Kerry also got a chance to speak about what he is doing over there.
I know that on DU, Gore clearly wins the day. But I think that for a CNN viewer this hour, the one that would be most appealing is likely Kerry. (He's doing serious work, he didn't take a cheap slam on Bush on Pakistan), and he was the only one not screaming.)

8. Blitzer is talking about the 3 Dems with Begala and Jorie Clarke |
|
They played the angry Hillary and Gore tapes - Clarke thought they were bad (she made a weird comment that the Rep didn't worry if Gore or Kerry were running again)and that they said nothing that was a positive message (though Kerry implicitly did in that he listed pretty descriptively what Bush didn't do - which was a list of the positive things he wanted to do) and Begala was happy his party was speaking up. The discussion was very contentless.
It was interesting that he didn't play any Kerry tape - likely because he sounded his usual thoughtful articulate self - not angry. Part of the difference was the other 2 were giving speeches, while Kerry was being interviewed. I liked his smile and laugh when he was asked on the Hillary one. Kerry gave good answers on the air raid in Pakistan (that some here might not like) and that the hearing will give the Democrats the right to supoenas (with no chair veto.)

He handled that interview so well. He is my President, going all over the world to all of the "hot spots" as Wolf called it. And Wolf said that he would talk to Kerry later in the week when Kerry was in Iraq. Kerry also handled it really well Wolf was trying to pin him down on all of the politics that occurred yesterday.
Also - the heading while Kerry was talking was KERRY POLITICS.
I was very pleased.

supeeners? Sound like something you get at a deli. (I'll take the Roast Beef, a little mayo and throw some supeeners on it.)
Ahm, is this subpeonas? (Is that my own accent thrown back at me? Om my! We say supeeners? Sounds kind of, ahm, frisky, it you ask me.)

I have to agree. The whole time I'm watching (twice already), I'm staring into those beautiful eyes. And when he wrinkles his brow a little (not frown), my heart just goes goo goo.

Even when it comes to foreign policies, where I sometimes disagree with Kerry when he tries to show he is tough, I had no problem today.
This said, can somebody tell me how this interview can be seen as pro-Likud as somebody suggested on GD or GDP? Or even pro-Kadima, as the person may have meant? I see statements here concerning Israel that are polite but do not endorse anybody; I see statements concerning Hamas that say that Hamas needs to stop terrorism so that the US can work with the PA. (Except may be the absence of condemnation of Israel for actions on the Palestinian territory, I see nothing that could even be seen as vaguely objectable here).
As for Iran, it is good to see that Kerry, contrarely to *, still thinks that we are not yet at the UN referral/sanction phase and that other countries can do something.
It was all good to hear, including the domestic part.
Kerry 08.

32. He didn't even mention Likud |
|
I would assume that it would be totally inappropriate for a foreign politician to overtly endorse anyone. In the wake of Sharon's stroke, Kerry's comments on Israel were exactly what should be said to a country that is likely shook up by the loss of their head of state.
I liked the list he had of Bush's failures - mostly domestic. It was good to hear his comments on Iran. His comment that more countries should have condemned the comments was good.

In GD there is someone who is a major Kerry basher that saw Kerry on CNN and this person is praising him over and over and over.
Not because Kerry is acting like a President should, travelling to all of the hot spots in the world, but because Kerry agreed with what Gore said. Hey - I'll take Kerry-praise anyway I can get it.
