Changing the subject, but the other news du jour is really freaking me out
The fact that the government is going to be looking at all of our searches.

All search engines besides Google have complied!

I use google and Yahoo.

I feel like going on Yahoo and search for things like
impeach bush
worst president ever
Vote fraud in 2004
culture of corruption..

Is this bothering anyone else?
I don't even feel like I live in the same country anymore:mad:

1. It's really alarming
What I don't quite get; can the US government request records of ALL search engines, or only those based here in the US? I will have to get creative in my searches from now on, I guess. Bottom line is; if we don't manage to put a stop to their activities, we're in deep trouble as a nation.

2. what do you think they are really looking for?
They say it is for children looking at pornography, but how do they know how old someone is?

Ha - if they look for people that search for porn, they'll probably find Ted Stevens, and other piggies all over the place.

Ugh. I'm so skeptical, I even think that obl video was put there on purpose so they can have an excuse to spy on us. This is getting bad. OBL is threatening the US, and I think it is bs:yoiks:

4. good question
How DO they know how old someone is? Still, with all the spying they've been doing I wouldn't be surprised if they knew what you ate for dinner today. That's how I'm beginning to feel. I feel violated, invaded, raped.
Those Bin Laden tapes had me skeptical since last year. They appear at very convenient times, don't they?
Too bad if they're looking at porn, otherwise I'd do google searches all day like this;

bush, small penis, impotence
bush, viagra, erectile dysfunction
bush, laura, ky jelly...

you get the idea...

7. "How DO they know how old someone is? "
EXACTLY - and isn't it interesting that the journalists haven't picked up on that yet? Or is that intentionally not asked of the 'experts' right now.

A computer IP address is just a bundle of numbers identifying that computer and comes with each Internet connection. How many children have their own computers? How would that be catalogued anywhere? It wouldn't. They are fishing for something else and using porn as a screen.

This makes me mad on two levels - one that *co is digging thru Internet searches and two that the MSM is so frigging bought or stupid that they can't ask the right questions.

3. I'm not surprised. In fact, they probably can get this information without
even going through Yahoo or Google. It sucks, but we can make life miserable for them by doing exactly what you say. Impeach bush. Search for it every day and from as many computers, browsers and IP addresses as you can get your hands on. You can also annoy them to death by searching on various positive strings for John Kerry. I do this on a regular basis.

6. It bothers me, there has got to be a better way to get to the porn
freaks without invading my privacy.
