I have friends who have gone to Pittsburgh for Steelers v. Pats games in the past and they loved the town. (Good food, rabid fans, great town! What's not to love!) Seriously, Pittsburgh fans are great! I hope they have a blast in the SuperBowl.

19. How could it be the wrong "forum" when Steelers' stadium is HEINZ Stadium?

Which raises the question? Wouldn't it be nice if at least a pair of Super Bowl tickets were somehow "gratuitously" raffled-off to Kerry supporters, from someone w/ "ties" to Heinz stadium.

Silly I know, but having been born and raised in Pittsburgh (oddly with never much interest in sports), I've never-the-less beenthrilled beyond belief at the Steelers' "underdog" come-back this season. Particularly that victory in the blinding snowstorm a few weeks ago. THAT'S what makes Pittsburgh, the Steelers, AND the American spirit so great... they're never at their greatest except when "all seems lost and down."

Which means I'm bettin'on a Steeler win (of at least 3 points) at the Superbowl! GOOOO Steelers!

My apologies too if this WAS the WRONG forum. But when I think of Kerry, I think of Teresa (and their home and her family business in Pittsburgh)...and the Steelers of course too!

22. I lived my first 20 years in the South Hills...& few years in Shadyside...

while at Pitt. I've been gone 30 years now, but still have a "loyalty" to the core values and understanding of "every man" I learned there. Living in L.A. now for many years, I very much miss the "true friends" I had there.

And I WILL be watching the game! Will you? (I'm guessing this will be about a 3-4 point win.)

And those other years when the Patriots beat the Steelers. I wonder if there were friendly rivalries in the family over loyalties to Boston teams vs. Pittsburgh teams. That could have been fun.
