Have some nostalgia w/your morning coffee: |

Here's a thread from Chris Heinz, dated November 4, 2004: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x2598145And here's the "My Name Is" thread, dated November 3, 2004, he referenced: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=2587059IMO, the 'my name is' thread has to be one of the best DU has ever created. Enjoy, and never give up!:hi:

1. Both threads are fascinating |
|
It was interesting reading the names on the Chris Heinz thread - some were the same we see now. So many of the very strong Kerry ones are gone. Maybe disheartened by DU before this group grew or maybe taking a break after the intensity of the election. I do think that of the people who became engaged in the election, there have to be many who saw an unusual leader that we still need.

4. But many of us old diehards are still here; |
|
I have to have hope and refuse to give in. I also think politics is cyclical for many people; when a big election is imminent, intelligent people become more involved. Perhaps they're right to go on with their lives and not let the current situation bother them. Would definitely promote less stress!

2. They were both wonderful threads. |
|
They reflect both the sadness of that time in the immediate aftermath of the loss and the hope and resolve that still is there, no matter what.

It is kinda sad to look back in a way. I've been thinking about black tuesday for some reason over the past few days.

I wish he would come visit here in our happy little group. The way that many of you feel about about JK (you know, as in the feelings expressed in Vektor's lover's haikus, and the sentiments from other like-minded Kerrycrats) is the way I feel about Chris. So, really, it might be dangerous for Chris to come here, but I'd like to hear from him nonetheless!

6. I miss Chris, too. Oh, Chris? Come hang out with us. |

You are the one who understands my plan for how all Democrats can win, nationally and locally. Let's discuss that.

7. I really think that we should extend an invite |
|
for him to come here and hang out with us. I'm not sure how we would extend such an invite (anybody have his e-mail?), but I'd like for him to come chill with us nonetheless.
