George Allen- stupid personified.
I'm almost sorry to post this here, but I though it might be good for a laugh. He's the repub front runner?

Sen. George Allen (news, bio, voting record), R-Va., who is considered a possible 2008 presidential contender, said there are many security measures he doesn't know — and shouldn't know — because it could risk alerting the enemy.

1. Thanks for the heads up
It reads even more stupid when you see the exact quote.

Sen. George Allen (news, bio, voting record), R-Va., who is considered a possible 2008 presidential contender, said there are many security measures he doesn't know — and shouldn't know — because it could risk alerting the enemy.

"Neither did I know what sort of intercepts or communications of financial assistance or other things that I don't know about," he said.

Allen cited in particular the new bin Laden tape which surfaced last week as evidence that the terror cells might exist in the U.S. and might be preparing to attack should law enforcement officials let their guard down.

"I find nothing wrong with having a hearing. This maybe ought to be something that you would ratify — yes, the president has this authority," Allen said on CNN's "Late Edition."

Seriously, what's he got in his head in place of a brain?

2. You're right, he stupid. And that's probably why he shouldn't be
told about such things (never assign this man to the intelligence committee, and he should never consider running for president). Most people can use there imagination to conjure up these scenarios.

Congress gave him the authority, but not the tactics.

but it is a chosen audience, so what is the point.

I wouldn't expect you to sit through that parody of a real question and answer session.

but it has nothing to do with work.

It has something to do with retaining my sanity. And not breaking things in my house.

10. Wisteria, welcome to the 'I hate George Allen' club.
I'm sort of President of it. (Well, the Mass chapter anyway.) I discovered my abiding dislike of this mental defective last January when I was watching the Condiliar Rice confirmation farce in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. This was part of Sen. Barfbag's opening remarks which he continued to rave on and on about until Sen. Lugar found some crayons and a coloring book and distracted the big oaf. (Lugar: "Georgie, leave the nice lady alone so she can lie some more to the nasty Democrats. Look Georgie, keys. Nice shiny keys. Yes, you can play with them. Now sit and be quiet till someone comes to pick you up and take to the Senate day care.")

The wit and wisdom of George Allen, 1/18/05. Starts out making some sort of point about Condi going to the Birmingham Church in Alabama that was bombed and then fell of the mental wagon somewhere.

And a lot of those -- now, Dr. King obviously is gone, but many of those who were involved in the civil rights movement are actually still alive and you can talk and question them on what they were trying to do.

Dr. Rice, you mentioned the future, which is important. And some people call the 20th century America's century. I believe, as you do, that the 21st century needs to be freedom's century. And individual freedom, regardless of race or gender or ethnicity or religion are key. I look at those as some of the four pillars of freedom or individual liberty are freedom of religion, freedom of speech. You used the town hall test. Three is private ownership of property, and fourth, the rule of law to protect those rights and constitutional rule.

And we do learn from history. And that's why I like reading and listening to your statement. And you referenced President Truman and Acheson and so forth and 1947 to 1949. And that is fine; that was the beginning of the Cold War.

I will say, though, that President Ronald Reagan and George Shultz and Cap Weinberger and that administration were the ones who changed that dynamic of the Cold War from one of containment and co-existence to the advancement of freedom.

Some criticized President Reagan for calling the Soviet Union, in my view, rightfully, the Evil Empire. They criticized him for going to Brandenburg Gate and telling Mr. Gorbachev to tear down that wall. But that's actually what did happen.

Because of that, there are now hundreds of millions of people tasting that sweet nectar of liberty in Central Europe who are friends and allies, not just in the war on terror but also economically, thanks to that leadership.

Sen. Kerry, who obviously has boxes of Maalox in his office just for such occasions, got to question Condi after Sen. Allen. It was the difference between hearing 'Jingle bells' played on a kazoo and a full orchestra rendition of a Beethoven symphony. Sigh!

11. Hey -- That's MY Senator you're talkin' 'bout (pardon me while I go
barf)

Okay, where was I?

Oh, last I looked, it was the EAST GERMANS who tore that wall down, and due to the greatness and wisdom of Gorbachev who told the East German president that the Soviet Union would NOT assist in any military operations to put down the rebellion. I strongly recommend the film "Goodbye, Lenin", a funny, yet poignant film about that time period. It's in German with English subtitles. The world is a complex place, and I really don't know if Reagan caused the Soviet Empire to fall or whether it was going to implode anyway. Definitely subject to interpretation.

I think I have already mentioned this before, that I have called his office twice. Once, I left a message, and they never called me back. The second time, I talked to a staffer who was very rude, and I got the impression that he was NOT going to relay my message and that he was trying to get me off the phone (I was calling about PBS funding, not THAT controversial). So, yeah, Tay Tay -- if your the President then I'm the secretary of the "I hate George Allen" club. And if you ever stomach reading freerepublic.com, they LOVE him over there. He's kind of like the Russ Feingold or Wes Clark of their parallel evil universe. Give me McCain any day of the week over Allen!

13. I weep for you and the great and noble Comm of Virginia
A state that gave the nation Thomas Jefferson, the first state to put in a Statute of Religious Freedom (ahm, that may be past tense now though, sigh) and other immortal contributors to American history and heritage. ("Give me liberty or give me death!)

I think Sen. Barfie glanced down the SFRC committee table at Kerry when he rattled off the names of people that Kerry had investigated in Iran-Contra. It was his way of saying, "Hey, I'm on to you, you commie-loving, America-bashing librul. You tried to stop this great nation from being in the drug trade so they could use the proceeds to illegally fund terrorists in another nation. Yeah, I'm talking to you, you... you, Massachusetts liberal.") Sigh! I don't think Georgie choose his list of Reagan era cronies accidentally. I thought it was an in-your-face move.

14. Wasn't that also the first day Kerry was back in the
committee after the election? If so, what I perceived as mindless babble, that reads every bit as bad as it sounded was actually an extremely nasty slap.

15. Oh no, I can't believe a state could elect someone so dense with
thick black matter for a brain. LOL at those quotes. I find it hard to believe that he passes for a Senator and is being considered as Presidential material by the Republicans. Must be he is so stupid, he won't ask any questions just do the Neocon bidding.

21. Actually, I moved here at the end of '00, so my first vote in VA
was for Mark Warner in '01. I seriously don't remember ANYTHING about '02 (I think motherhood, especially of babies, kills one's brain cells!), and then, of course, there was my finest vote of my life -- for John Kerry in '04!

So in '06, it will be my first time to vote against His Barfbagness. I don't even know if we have someone running against him. Sigh . . . he will probably be reelected. And, yes, there are a lot of very nice people here in Virginia who are as dumb as doornails in the area of politics (or at the least, very ignorant). They still are obsessing about "Welfare queens", not realizing that corporate welfare eats SO much more of their tax dollars. Many of them are hopeless to pursuade otherwise.

Oh yeah, and I know exactly where his office is here in VB, and have walked by it. Not sure what to do with that knowledge, though. Any ideas, that don't involve me going to jail?

12. And to think, this man is the senator of a state
that has the world's largest Naval base. You'd think the dumbfuck might want to know a little bit more about "security measures" than your average US Senator. Gee, I feel safer already.
