C-Span tomorrow - Alito Vote in Committee - Floor Vote Early Next Week
Alito Vote in Committee - TUESDAY, C-SPAN, 9:30AM ET

Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) chairs the Senate Judiary Cmte. meeting in which the members debate and vote on nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. Floor debate is to start on Wednesday, with a full Senate vote early next week. Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) is ranking member.

3. diappointed in Specter
i don't know why i keep putting my hopes in him. but will be glad with the party sticking together. i would love for Kerry to be on this committee. i think it's still interesting to watch, but Kerry just has a certain style that i love which is different from others.

4. Specter showed a hint of spine but backed down quickly enough
Pity, really, he might have had promise otherwise. I know Alito is too far right for him - it's too bad Republicans have forgotten what it means to have individual principles, instead of just blindly toeing the party line.
