Chris Heinz Engaged
Apparently, he got engaged last weekend.

http://www.nypost.com/gossip/pagesix/59452.htm

I realize that I should be happy for him, but it was much easier to fantasize about him when he was single. :loveya: But this kind of crushes the dream. Anyway, Congratulations, Chris!

7. I'm going to an event for Uncle Ted on Sat.
Edited on Tue Jan-24-06 01:06 PM by TayTay
Check out his young grand-nephew who is his new campaign manager. Matt Kennedy, Joe's boy. (His grandfather was RFK.)

Ahm, the gentleman with less hair is Cong. McGovern. (A wonderful Dem, btw.)

BTW, if there are any people who want any stuff, let me know. I know a few folks who live in 'red' areas and Teddy K just unhinges the RW.

Rox: You should show. We only found out about this last night. Could be fun! (And Free! And you get to hobnob with Kennedy's: The Next Generation.)

Ted Comes Out Swinging
A lot of money was raised and a good time was had by all at the Compound

By Jack Coleman

http://www.capecodtoday.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=0247

THE KENNEDY COMPOUND, HYANNISPORT - If the same Ted Kennedy who spoke at a clambake fund-raiser on Saturday campaigns for re-election next year, Republicans will find it difficult to wrest control of the Senate seat that Kennedy has held for 43 years.

Before addressing 500 supporters in a huge white tent on his front lawn, Kennedy and his wife, Vicki, along with nephews, Matt Kennedy, 24, (one of Joe Kennedy II's twin sons) and Stephen Smith Jr., 48, (eldest son of Jean and the late Stephen Smith), greeted supporters in a long line extending up Marchant Avenue.
*************************************

Oh my goodness, he's a twin! (There are a lot of Kennedy's around here.)

Ahm, well, they do need to give Matt some experience. Running Teddy's campaign should be a great experience. (And when Teddy retires some day.....)

10. Ooo, thanks!
Well, I'm only 19, so 24 isn't that old to me. And he's a twin? And he's that good looking? My God, this is killing me. Hopefully he'll do an event here in DC, I'd love to meet him. ;)

12. Much congrats to Chris AND the lucky lady. But he had said last year...
when people inquired about his political future, that MARRIAGE was the NEXT step, then political office.

So...he's "on" schedule.

17. In honor of the occasion....
I offer these pics I took at that event at Chris' loft last spring...Did I post them here before?? Or just a link to them online?

Anyway.....

Here's Chris giving intro to Gen Clark (Sorry, don't know how to make this one smaller):

Here's sort of a back view of Chris...but I like the little Planters guy and the picture on the wall. :)

Here's Chris and a view of his kitchen:

And, finally, here Chris and his girl hold hands in the background as Wes speaks (I assume that's the same girl...She was pretty):

Congrats Chris!!
