Did you guys see that "Kerry talks to Syrian boy" thread? |
|
There were 79 responses last time I checked, and although I predicted plenty of bashers, I'm happy to say I was proven wrong! There were lots of people coming out of the woodwork and supporting Kerry. I think only one person tried to rain on our parade, and he didn't get any attention. Perhaps the tide is turning?

1. I didnt see that because Ive fled GD but good stuff |

Kerry I think is proving them wrong by being very vocally critical of Bush and being a statesman overseas, and I think they realize that finally. Sure does prove that one purist wrong that said Kerry would be going to travel to promote Bush's policies.

I remember the nice remarks when Kerry was paying his respects at Arlington to the soldier who died. That was amazing. The outpouring of emotions was almost too much for me to read.

Given that the Larissa post on DKos was about the liberal blogs being inundated with freeper posts to spread dissent, I wonder if there is a correlation between when that post was started and who responded to it.
I can't make an estimates, but it is worth pondering. That thread was started on a Friday night, usage was probably down and that means that many of the professional naysayers were not on DU. Interesting.

Here is a copy of the thread for those that don't go in that forum. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=203&topic_id=284407&mesg_id=284407I believe that there tends to be more Kerry supporters in the Election Results forum than in GD.

8. I just find this completely captivating |

I loved that thread. I still have this theory that Kerry is really still respected by Dems. So many people have posted that they didn't know what to make of the guy at first, but they really warmed to him over time. I can't believe that this affection would just go away, poof, after the election.
Again, I have patience and we will see what he does. I'm want to see if if votes for or against Torture Boy Gonzales for AG. Voting agin him would warm the cockles of my heart.
