"Soon" meaning no later than tomorrow mid-afternoon. I sincerely hope it'll be up by late tonight, but I cannot make any promises on that. I've been cussing my server for a couple of hours now. It is unbelievably slow.

I think I can fix it so that if Freepers or trolls see the link, they won't be able to hurt me much, but I'd rather not start off by doing a round of IP bans. So, anyone who wants to be PM'd with the link, please post in this thread and I'll send it out as soon as all systems are "go."

9. The problem with Free Speech, corrected!

I abos-frickin-lutely love this forum. We have a problem with some people wanting to indulge their, ahm, ardent support of certain people, yet running up against not owning the medium (oh and the bounds of good taste.) Bitchin and moanin ensue. (More on that, for sure, later.) A fairy godmother, in the form of newcomer Firespirit emerges, grants the wish and --poof-- everybody gets to be happy. What could be more Democratic and democratic than this! Wow! This is amazing.

Ah, I will be PM-ing later. Just for research purposes you understand. I want to know what unfettered free speech removed from all bounds of restraint looks like. For research purposes, really!

We will always be here. In fact, I am not the best person to go over to the other server, ahm, because I'm frickin shy. Firespirit is right, forbidden fruit sometimes makes the best pies. (Well, that's how my Mom said it.)

That said, there have been posts made that made some folks uncomfortable here. This is a public forum that anyone who has access to the web can see. This site is owned by others and they have the absolute right to make rules and enforce them.

I believe in free speech for lots of reasons, one of which is because it is so revealing of self in the most unexpected ways. (Gawd, I am a liberal.) This other server solves the problem of where to go to post meaningless but fun nothings that might be unacceptable here. It's just another outlet in the great electronic world.

There is no reason to stop placing all innuendo offline. (The Virtua story in the other thread is fine. It's too goofy to be taken seriously as kink.) Just the more, ahm, completely imagined stuff. I will still check in here first, respond to stuff here first and if I am awake check the other site occasionally. Just to see what's doing. I do that now and again with DKos and so forth. It is, after all, just another site.

Everything looks OK from the admin's point of view; if there are issues with it from the user's, then PM me about it and I'll fix it. I've never used this software before as a site administrator and I haven't completely gotten the knack of it yet, so there may well BE things that need to be tweaked.

BTW, there are two individuals in particular who I'd expect would want the URL but who haven't asked for it yet.

There was a post about this possibly killing this board here on DU. I promise I will not let that happen. If there are allowable topics that are made there, and that this board might want to discuss, then they really should be posted here as well.

I was here. But everytime I would post I waited to se if anyone else did and nothing. So I just give it up last night. I was gone most of the day yesterday and couldn't be here early on so I missed everything yesterday. I was home for a few minuntes in between errands but still never really seen much going on in the forum.

so I pop in during the day and in the evening, but after 10 or so, I'm pretty much out of the game. I enjoy being on during the quick response times, but they don't happen often. Because when the senate gets back in session on it's regular schedule I will be keeping up with those again. I have always done that. So my night owl days will be coming to a hault soon. I will get back to my regular routine of being in bed by 12 at the latest. I might pull a all nighter every now and then but not often.

29. I Can't Wait Till Things Get Bak To Normal

I hate it when they aren't in session due to vacation, holidays, or whatever. It gets boring for the junkies like me. Although I know they have to have a life outside of work and they can't work 24/7. I still gets boring for junkies. And since the campaign has ended Oh my how boring :boring: things have gotten no campaign, no senate, YUCK! Can you tell I'm a junkie? I guess that is what the result of being a stay at home mom most of my life does. So when I have no senate I'm for sure :boring:

33. It's Not Hard

My hubby and kids are at work and school all day. I have my little routine I get up get the house cleaned then I'm ready to start. And when my kids are home from school they join in with me. Especially my daughter she is as big of junkie as I am and loves John Kerry as much as I do. I got her hooked when she was young. I have to tape the senate for her everyday when she is at school so when she gets home she can go to her room and do her homework and see what went on for the day. My hubby and son are not as bad as we are but they don't mind our habits. Everyone has a TV in there room so if one is watching something you don't want to see you can go to your room and watch what you want.
