1. Instantaneous spin!
I think maybe they already had their talking points and their story pre-arranged. Just insert name of Democrat who says "filibuster" here. Of course the fact that it was Kerry made them wet their pants.

3. Are you talking about us or CNN?
 Sorry, I couldn't resist. You know I knew what you meant! (I think.) I'm in a bit of a silly mood today.

you have to go vote in MSNBC's stupid poll too:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11048386/

    Live Vote
Should the Senate give Alito an up-or-down vote? * 8428 responses
Yes, he has been thoroughly examined and the outcome is certain anyway. Get on with it.
    57%
No, he would be a dangerous addition to the court. Any means possible, including a filibuster, is justified to stop his nomination.
    43%
Not a scientifically valid survey. <:D no kidding>

Feeling a little giddy, myself.

4. Conviction. Clarity. Constitutional Integrity.
Just for starters.

Go, John Kerry.

5. The results aren't that bad
Likely all Republicans will say politics - 42% conviction isn't bad especially as no one who didn't watch CSPAN would have heard his speech.

9. Come on guys! We need toseriously DU this NOW. Only 39% allegedly
believe it's "conviction."

They need to be reminded of JK's "Integrity... Inegrity...Integrity."

13. I voted "Conviction"
along with everyone else who knows Kerry's heart.

The poll results may be misleading, in that many who selected "Politics" might support the filibuster and Kerry's efforts, regardless of what they believe his "motive" to be.

14. About this poll, we have been busy doing our jobs and contacting
our senators, the repubs have had nothing better to do than feep the poll. I don't care what it says. John Kerry did the right thing and when Alito terns out to be a nighmare he will be vindicated.

15. I agree with you and think this and the MSNBC poll
are both there as distractions. The methodology is absoluely not defendable and cannot be made to be legit. You are right that both sides manipulate the polls and at the moment we have better things to do.
