Stephanie Miller just read this post at the end of her show, and it had me in tears (I think Steph was close, too).

Must read.

2. I saw that yesterday
It had me in tears. Reminded me of my daughters - 17 and 20 - and the world we are creating for them. And I am furious at all those senators who are, out of political expediency, screwing with my childrens' future

Kerry canceled his trip, that's all I need to know. Fight like hell.

4. And a child shall lead them.
Hey, she's right, we have to do it for them. God bless her.

5. I heard Stephanie read this on air.
Thanks for posting the link Whome. Such wisdom this young person possesses. This is why we must keep up the good fight!

I thought of my kids, too.

My daughter's been shying away from politics (don't wanna hear it, mom) since her heart was broken last November.

When I told her yesterday that JK was filibustering, she lit up.

Of course we all want him to succeed. Without question, we don't want to see Alito on the court.

But what young people need just as much is that sense of hope, that sense that someone's out there looking out for them. And that's what JK gave them back yesterday. And that's why I'm so happy with him right now.
