10. Also weird because he brought Bolton up right after complaining that
because the Judiciary committee approved Alito they should go straight to a vote. Does he remember his own committee refused to recommend Bolton?

Tweety also told him that he was always the chioice fo 08 by the "Washington Insiders".

15. Oh no, we have to implement the Allen Recovery Treatment
Breathe deeply. Remember, most humans are not like that. I am starting a petition: all future Presidential candidates have to have CAT Scans to make sure they do, indeed, have functioning brains. Allen will not pass. (He just has an over-active brain stem. Course that hasn't stopped *, but Allen is even dumber than *.)

Thank goodness you came here after this exposure. Repeated viewers of Barfie have been known to cause brain fog in sentient beings, so please take precautions. (There has to be some sort of Allen-condom that prevents the worst of his rampant stupidity from getting through. There just has to be. Here, put this on and the vibes of moronic speech from Barfie won't penetrate and eat your brain. MIT, help me out here. The fate of the nation may rest on this Allen-condom idea.)

9. Now he's talking about Kerry calling for a filibuster from Davos
Thinks Kerry is really out there by himself with people like Kennedy following him. Obviously unaware that Kerry spoke on the Senate floor. Tweedy and a Washington Post person were apparently impressed by McCellan's joke.

11. Why are they all so giddy?
Edited on Fri Jan-27-06 07:47 PM by ProSense
Two Senators are standing up for what they believe is right and the entire (media, WH, Republican) establishment has turned against them, and it appears the two Senators could win the battle. Proves what a bunch of losers the Tweety and is ilk are. Scotty wants to tell jokes about Davos? Well here is one:

Damn, I wish I was in Davos,
at least that would explain why
I was AWOL.

Kerry can lead whether he's in Florida, Washington or Switzerland.

12. That's what's strange to me too
Edited on Fri Jan-27-06 07:53 PM by karynnj
If they had no chance - wouldn't it just be "that's fine, he doesn't have the votes." What's really weird is to also want to characterise a Senator on the Finance committee who is also the ranking member of the Small Business committee going to an ECONOMICS conference as a vacation.

I doubt Bush could sit though the speeches.

Also, DIDN"T THEY JUST WHINE ABOUT CHARACTER ASSIGNATION - or is it ok if it's John Kerry. (who gets mocked in a month where he might be the hardest working Senator. (He clearly spent more time preparing for the ME trip than Biden did on his questions.)

14. Well that certainly is the truth! Biden should support the filibuster
just to make up for us all having to watch and listen to the Biden show. What a waste of valuable time when he spoke about himself for 20 minutes. IMO, he owes us all big time.
