I was going to make a GD post about sending a telegram since some people are saying they're having trouble getting through to Senators. Did you know Western Union discontinued telegram service? This past Friday was their last day. *sigh* Any other ideas for inexpensive, yet human being, deliveries? I'd love to see a bunch of people trying to deliver messages to the Capital.

1. How about sending a singing Chickengram to the Sens. who

have wimped out? Guy dressed as a huge chicken will deliver message and sing. I actually looked into this, but I doubt he'd be allowed in. :evilgrin:

That's what you get for living in the sticks your whole life, do they really have such a thing as a Chickengram?? That's hysterical. I was just thinking about black flowers symbolizing the death of our Constitution or something.

3. It wouldn't surprise me at all . . .

In my high school AP English class we hired a singing telegram on our teacher's birthday (not because we liked the teacher, really, but because we wanted to do something that would liven up the class), and we talked to the guy beforehand, so he had a whole act planned out and everything. So I'm sure you could find someone who'd be willing to wear a chicken suit! And it's not a bad idea!

4. Yup, a search for singing telegrams in DC brought up the

singing chicken.

calling and leaving messages
saying SHAME

or emailing with that message.
