Group Card for John Kerry

I sent JK a personalized (paper) card thanking him for his stand against Alito and for everything he's done these past 15 months and signed it from the Kerrycrats in the John Kerry Group at DemocraticUnderground.com just in case he wants to browse by, but I'd like to send one with everybody's signature (well, printed signature) and message as well.

The screen names of anyone who wants to participate and a short message will be printed inside the card. No donation needed as the card is less than $3. incl. postage. The card has a bear on the front saluting and holding a flag and it says, "Everybody needs a hero. You're mine."

The inside is going to be printed with as many names as will fit. If you want to be included in the greeting, just post here with:

1. Your screen name
2. Message - short about 35 characters total for screen name and message.

Example: DynamicDems: We've got your back! (33 letters)

We can fill both sides of the inside of the card and 3/4 of the back. Each Kerrycrat will have one line across the card, so we can fit 50 or 60 names. The font size can be adjusted depending on how many names we get.

Also: I can add one line on the front of the card about sending donations to JK? KAP? USO? All of the Above? Let me know what you think about this.

with the card I chose: it was a military bear. I somehow missed the little cap on the head: army cap. In any case, the words are the same, just a different bear and he's sitting on a flag instead of holding one.

or form is almost unbearable: like seeing puppies tortured. He does so much for others, it just hurts to think of the way he's being shunned by so many of the other senators. :cry:

The thought of it always breaks my heart. Thank goodness he has such a loving wife and family and friends, and that he has his faith -- that makes me feel better when I start worrying about the pettiness and downright nastiness that's constantly being directed at him.

64. Just got my copy of the card (sent one to myself to see how it turned out)

and it looks FANTASTIC. The printing is perfect and the font colors (navy and red) really show up on the inside of the card.

FYI: if anyone ever wants to send a personalized card, go to:
www.americangreetings.com and select the option for Paper Card. You can
choose from hundreds of cards or make your own and you can add photos and customize front, back and both sides of the inside. The cost per card: $2.95! If you have a decent scanner, you can even scan your signature and add it as a photo. Great for procrastinators.

I didn't have a copy e-mailed, I had a hard copy sent by US mail to myself so I could be sure it printed okay. But if you scroll up, there are photos of the printing that is inside. The actual paper card (which I am holding in my hand) looks even better.

Any messages that were too long had to be shortened (with the exception of one that just happened to fall at the end of the first page). They printed out perfectly across the width of the card.
