1. I knew he couldn't stay away |

Who could stay away from a good discussion on Nanotechnology. I mean honestly. (ANd I bet George Allen isn't there. That makes it just great. And the MIT guy is probably testifying. Sigh!)

3. Allen was there and questioned someone at the end of the second panel |
|
Edited on Wed Feb-15-06 04:00 PM by karynnj
I didn't link to it till 3 - but I think that Kerry came in between the 2 panels. Sen Stevens asked Kerry to introduce them - catching Kerry off guard - he instead welcomed them, spoke of the importance of techology and mentioned % of jobs that stemmed from technology and spoke about the budget being cut.
Now the people on the panel are reading their statements.

6. The CEO of Apollo Diamond really looks young |

His statement is great - they make diamonds. (for use in electronics) He makes the point that the period between inventing something and when it is commercialized is when they need funding.

7. I was (and am) seriously interested in this topic |
|
It is completely fascinating. And completely intriguing. And it could solve a lot of problems. (Provided that doomsday thing never comes true. Geez, a voracious army of teensy weensy machines programmed to reproduce on available bio material could turn the world into one big 'grey sludge' That would not be such a good thing. But I digress.)
Ah, what a good day. Foreign policy slapdown of Condi and pure geeky science. I am happy.

Cantbelievher Lies is making my ears bleed. Why is she talking about Iran with that "freedom is on the march" BS. The arrogance is unbelievable. She almost slipped up and said new Iranian government.

Something like that. I think he was after Barfie. (And Barfie was on at the Nanotechnology hearing and didn't drool. Sigh!) JK was awesome today at SFRC. (I haven't totally recovered from him being totally wicked awesome at the filibuster, so I am still highly suseptible. Sigh! :loveya:)

To avoid hijacking this thread, I will move over to the one already started on the SFRC. It's been so long since I've heard JK grill Condi, I can hardly wait.
