1. That's cool - it has enough truth to make the point and enough |
|
humor to make it palatable - and hopefully make a few people think.
I am bracing for the condemnation of most of the Democrats that is likely to come on the Patriot act - where they are likely to be mad at most Senators.

2. There's enough stupidity on DU for it, that's for sure |

It's already showing up in my thread.

Sometimes the groupthink gets too overwhelming, and you just have to say something.

if you think the groupthink on DU is bad, though, you should take a look over at the PI site, where most of these jerks have their homebase.
And, of course, the irony is in their constant back slapping each other over how "free thinking" they are and how everyone at DU is "brainwashed".
It's a hoot!

I went there once, promptly vomited, and resolved to avoid it forever.
I do so love the delicious irony, though - so Orwellian, so Soviet.

The bastards, I knew they were up to no good!!!
Seriously, that was an awesome awesome post! But we do have to figure out how to get some of our Dems to turn up the heat. Biden was perfectly DREADFUL on CNN today.
Hehe, I typed turn up the head, I gotta go back to bed, to sleep dang ya, going now...

8. Biden was just on MSNBC, he seemed ok |
|
but I was concentrating more on making dinner. Matthews mentioned theirs a great profile of Biden in GQ this month. (right after the assine Time or Nesweek one) Why is the media trying to give us Biden? It would be nice if there was a nice profile on what Kerry's been doing.

9. He did two dumb things |
|
First, Begala has actually been great on the Cheney story, except he needed to pump it up to it being about all Americans accountable to the same rule of law. So Biden goes on and expresses all sorts of sympathy for Cheney and says it's just too bad he's so secretive. That's not quite the point, the point is their arrogant abuse of power and attitude that they don't have to adhere to the law. He didn't mention a word about the drinking because he probably doesn't know that you really don't drink and hunt, it isn't a common thing at all. But what really got me was when he said the Vice President DOES have the authority to declassify; right after Bob Barr, BOB BARR, said Cheney didn't. Aaargh. Damn Biden, keep up!!

How on earth can he not know you don't dring and hunt. I have never touched a gun in my life and I would assume that something that could kill someone through a moments thoughtlessness would seem to be something to avoid after drinking evenm one beer.
I can see sympathy as long as its coupled with some mention that he did things that could be predicted at some point to cause disaster. The entire timeline shows utter lack of care on his part - he didn't even go to the hospital with the wife and some of the others and they had a luncheon that they didn't cancel that he attended the next day. This is an uncaring monster.

And (for me) rather interesting visually as well: I saw your post followed by a cascade of Ignoreds, then you answering the Ignoreds, where your answers clearly showed me I had made the right decision in Ignoring them. :D
All of the other posts that were not Ignored were people who got what you were saying. It's an interesting experiment I'm carrying on here, but it seems to be working.

I managed to come to an understanding with one person, which was rewarding. Now someone new is coming in there and accusing me of being Rovian. :silly: That's me - Rovian to the CORE.

17. some totally missed your point |
|
and thought you were defending the dlc.
one problem with blaming the dlc for everything is that people take it less seriously when the dlc does deserve criticism for things. it turns into a joke just as it was to make Sherrod Brown vs HAckett into a dlc conspiracy. that would be similar to saying in the 2004 primary that Kucinich staying in the primary was a dlc conspiracy against Dean, Edwards or some others who ended their campaigns before he did.
this also points to the problems with those who continually rant about our leaders failing us. their not knowing about SHerrod Brown and where he stands is a big problem with it. why weren't they out showing support for Brown's efforts and getting others to support his causes ? they were too busy playing victim, martyr and complaining about the "leaders" and threatening to leave the party.
i don't take many of these people seriously anymore. most are drama whores. i'm not talking about everyone who supported Hackett over Brown and are upset about it. there are some who are honest and consistent in why they support HAckett. they aren't the ones to threaten to leave the party after every single vote.
but i'm talking about certain specific ones. who have a history of mostly posting the victim, martyr drama filled crap.

Amazing how everyone on this forum knew exactly what I was saying. I think the average IQ in the Kerry forum is about 30 points higher than in GD.

I'm tired of it too. IF the DLC was involved it wouldn't have been Brown they backed. He's very opposite of them. Which makes me wonder: why the hell is Kerry still with them?
