The Carpetbagger: Swiftboat Corsi's comeback?

Of all of the partisan attack dogs from the Swiftboat smear of 2004, few were as thoroughly discredited as Jerome Corsi. The man was not only caught lying about John Kerry's heroic military service, Corsi was also exposed as a bigot, having condemned Islam and Roman Catholicism, among others...

...And what's Corsi up to now? He's publishing a book with Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate J. Kenneth Blackwell called "Rebuilding America."...

...By any reasonable standard, Corsi should be politically radioactive. Maybe Blackwell has forgotten, but one in five Ohioans is Catholic. Why on earth would a Republican gubernatorial candidate get within five feet of Corsi, worse yet write a book with the guy?

Shouldn't a leading Republican gubernatorial candidate who crafts a blueprint for government with a discredited bigot face at least some consequences?

2. As long as it spews anti-democratic rhetoric in an inflammatory
way and contains 99% fabrications and out and out lies it will sell to the idiotic base of Democrat haters and the curious. It isn't necessary to actually have any writing ability or to back up what is being written with references and facts- no one who reads this sh*t cares about that accuracy stuff, they just want someone to confirm their vile beliefs. IMO, this stuff is a substitute for porn and they get off on it.

4. This is the kind of
thing that pisses me off. Blackwell was the Ohio chair of Bush's campaign. Now this! This whole thing stinks.

5. Rebuilding?
Does anybody else find that choice of words ironic. If Republicans have to "rebuild" America, then what does that say for their leadership the last 25 years, they had the House or Senate most of that time, along with the Presidency 2/3 of the time. This is the America they created, why aren't they proud of it?

6. So, does this mean Corsi isn't going to run for the Senate in MA
in '06. Cuz, geez, aligning himself with RW nutjob Kenneth Blackwell in Ohio would just be the ideal thing to get him some RW wingnut support here in MA. With all that support, he might just pull 3-7% of the vote in '08. Can't believe he would pass that up. :sarcasm:

Guess Jerome wasn't serious about going for Sen. Kery's seat in '08, after all. What a putz!

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 21, 2006 -- Despite being the former governor of a border state in the throes of an immigration crisis, President George W. Bush has been reluctant to address the issue of illegal immigration, preferring instead to maintain warm ties with Mexican President Vicente Fox. That may change later this year, though, in the wake of a forthcoming book that promises to make security along America's borders the most hotly debated subject going into this fall's elections -- and one that Republicans ignore at their own peril.

Jim Gilchrist, co-founder of the Minuteman Project, and Jerome Corsi, Harvard Ph.D. and co-author of the #1 New York Times bestseller “Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry,” have teamed up to write a shocking account of the endless flow of drugs, terrorists, and economic refugees at America's borders -- and to expose the Mexican government's open complicity in this full-fledged crisis. The to-be-titled book will be published by World Ahead Publishing and available in bookstores nationwide this July...

Edited to add: of course this is a PRESS RELEASE, and therefore full of crap. Just posted so we can stay on top of what that f*** is up to.

Interesting. Look what other books they are publishing:
