Worden isn’t the only one to break ranks with Republicans recently.

Diane Davidson resigned as chairwoman of the Jackson County Republican Central Committee last year because she felt it was being run by a "good old boys" network. Davidson said she plans to run as an independent against Commissioner Dave Gilmour, a Democrat.

We're now learning about wingnut disdain for the Patriot Act and the spying terrifies some of them.

All the post-election talk about Bush rallying conservative voters and he didn't even rally all the wingnuts. And if he didn't rally them, what about more moderate voters?

4. These are the ultra libertarian Republicans who hated Clinton
Precisely because they felt the federal government was fascist in the way it handled the Waco and Ruby Ridge standoffs. They are adamantly opposed to a strong executive branch and a "police state," and it was their basis for hating Clinton. Many of them realize that Bush's fascist police state plans make Clinton's exercise of federal power look like playground games.

2. lot of converts...
But they'd still have stolen the election. There were too many people who didn't drink the koolaid--that's why they needed blackwell, suppression, and a little nefarious actions everywhere.

PLUS, I never did hear how the military voted. I suspect they voted for Kerry too and their votes were really easily changed.
