Teddy just tells it like it is. He doesn't play the game. Someone's gotta be that person, and I'm glad it's Ted, and Boxer.

What I don't understand is why the Republicans ever went with Shundler or Forrester when they can see we elect very liberal Democrats.

4. Okay, here are my senators |
|
Allen - 85.8 Warner - 59.8
Warner is totally conservative but comes off practically reasonable compared to Barfbag. Come on guys. Feel sorry for me a little . . .

Allen really is conservative. I thought he was, but this is pretty bad and Webb endorsed him. I was beginning to feel I was too nasty to the web supporters on DU-P, but not anymore.

My senators are:
Burr - 73.5 Dole - 81.8
I did see where Libby is disagreeing with her hubby, Viagra Bob, over the UAE deal. He has been hired as a lobbyist. Oh, joy.

8. The choice of votes and their weight are definitively interesting. |
|
Kerry comes out where he comes because of 2 votes about Cuba (Tele Marti and a construction of a new prison at Guantanamo), both relatively insignificant, but which have been given a high weight.
This makes him (and other liberals like Lautenberg) come out less liberal in FP than people who voted to confirm Condi. Condi's vote was consider less important than the vote for Tele Marti, for example.

The other is essentially a small amount of likely wasted money. Kerry voted for a new prison at Gitmo?

Lincoln more liberal than him in foreign policy. (there were few foreign policy votes, so it did not really influence the global results, but it shows how this can give a false image of the situation).

He is the most liberal, as Dr Ron posts - which is true here and likely in real life. So he doesn't need be tied with Kennedy. It was interesting seeing the Feingold profile.

12. What is interesting is that, despite the weird way they reach their list, |
|
the results seem fairly logical to me.
Kerry is more or less where he should be in this list, so are Feingold, Biden, and Clinton. Even Byrd ends exactly where he should end.

While there are obvious flaws in such a survey, I do like where Kerry winds up. He's not number one most liberal as the Republicans claimed, yet he is liberal enough that this blows away the Bush-lite charges.

The survey is quirky and accounts some odd things more weight than other more worthy things, but, as you guys pointed out, Kerry winds up about where he should be. I thought this was a fun rating and I like it.

|
And she is not Lieberman or the Nelsons. She is just a little maddening. (But I do think she has been better this year.)
BTW, nice to see ya! How are things going?
And Teddy K got a zero conservative rating. Yeah!!!!!!!!!! (Sorry, But it's Teedy, I just love him.)

17. Teddy is just necessary in the Senate |
|
It wouldn't be the Senate without him (it wouldn't seem right anyway). Feinstein really doesn't make me that angry. I know that there are far worse people to be bitching at and challenging her in the election is a waste of time and money when we have more important races (cough governorsrace cough)
I'm doing pretty well. I certainly can't wait to go back to Boston this summer. I'd also like to see the rest of New England. Anyway, how have you been?

Should you require the services of a guide to show you Salem and Gloucester Massachusetts, let me know. I believe I know someone who can distinguish between 'old stuff,' 'wicked old stuff,' and 'WICKED old stuff.' She might be available.
I also have access to a lot of maps of the Mass/NH/Maine coast areas, in case you want to drive up and see some of the sights. The Coastal drives are incredibly beautiful and I highly recommend them.
This is great! Are you traveling in June with friends? I think you'll like this area in summer much more than after a treacherous winter storm, It's much more hospitable to visitors. I can't wait to see ya!

My friend and I are gonna be in NYC for two days and we're gonna spend about three days in Boston. I'm really excited. Does it get humid, by the way? I imagine June is probably a good month to go.

I remember a June day of 10$ degrees. I also remember my daughter's 'cookout' or Bar-b-que party a couple of years ago and we froze at about 50 degrees. Sigh! You never know. Bring sweaters and shorts anyway.
