Boston people need some help...
What is the nearest amtrak station from the Boston Arts Academy and will I need a taxi to get back to the train station from there or is it walking distance?

(Got a map too?)

1. It's right next to Fenway Park.
I think you would take the Amtrak to South Station and then take the subway (the 'T') and get a Red Line train to Park Street and then a Green Line train (outbound ???) and get off at Kenmore Square and then walk up the 3 blocks or so to Fenway.

Use www.yahoo.com and go to maps. Then put in the 174 Ipswich St addy. It's not a bad walk using public and anyone should be able to tell you where Fenway is. (It is a Shrine of sorts, after all.)

3. I did hear that Boston people had a 'thing' for Fenway park!
And the Boston baseball team whoever they are. (Or is that football at fenway?)

4. It's all right. I won't shoot or bite or anything.
Fenway is the home of the Boston Red Sox. It is almost possible to pass it by on the street without knowing that it is a baseball field. (Well, almost. Less likely to happen now because of all the imporvements to the place.) And it's kind of old. (1912, opened the same week the Titanic sank.)

If you come to Boston and don't want to fuss with the public transportation after the long Amtrak ride, then you can get a cab. If the driver doesn't know Boston Arts Academy is or where Ipswich Street is, that cabbie will surely know where Fenway is. (Good to know, just in case.)
It's a nice section of town, near Fenway, near Simmons College and Hospital Row. (Well, not far from the Hospitals anyway and Emmanuel College and such.)
