It looks like the guys running the show are from my region of PA, too! Very cool...we'll have to make sure they get linked by the other Philly blogs.
I really enjoyed the interview. JK sounded very relaxed and on point (never mind the idiotic first comment posted to the blog).
Thanks!

These guys are great loved the intro. Also loved JK's frankness "bums" and yes he used that word and in plural "lies".
Thanks for finding this TayTay, my newest bookmark.

3. This is one of the best interviews I have heard |
|
I loved the informality and the all the things he said. Loved the end when one brother asked who he liked best, mentioning he did better on his precincts. The affection was so obvious and so mutual.
This made me more optimistic than anything recently - if Kerry still commands both the respect and affection of the people who worked for him in 2004 and his concentration on grassroots efforts may surprise people counting on the media and party designation to carry the day.

4. I loved that laugh at the end |
|
That was just great! I love interviews that are not too serious and allow for some humanity to come through. This was great :loveya:

5. The laugh was great - as were his answers |
|
I thought his Springsteen answer was great too - very honest and down to earth.

7. And he's still so popular too! |
|
He seems to be more popular than any other democrat too. More so than Feingold, Clinton, Biden etc. And on the democratic daily blog they have up that Kerry is seen as the most liberal canidate which really surprised me with Feingold polled too!

10. Good point - it's a useless question and it always bogs things down |
|
It almost seemed liked friends speaking rather than an interview. Kerry gave them some really nice, detailed comments. The mood was just so friendly and the comments on KAP really really rank true - especially when he said he owed to the people who worked so hard to keep fighting and keep alive some of what they built. (I just wish people in the party would mention how unusual his effort really is)

The main impression I got was that he would do whatever it takes, whenever and however he could to further Democratic candidates and initiatives. That it's not about him--it's about the country.
To take this idea further, I suppose if he thinks another Dem would have a better chance of winning the next presidential, he wouldn't get in their way, but would endorse them. But that's a stretch--he's so competitive I don't see how he could not at least try.

11. I think we kind of did on Imus |
|
the questions were more on Iraq - but there was the same sense of fun, informality and just being himself. That Kerry is incrediblely charismatic and likable.

:) That was a wonderful spot. I hope Imus has a wide audience. Imus said he "really likes Sen. Kerry"--and Imus seems very authentic and sincere in what he says. Blunt and not sugar-coated. So if he says he likes him--he likes him!
