Note re John Kerry's mailing list

Thought this bore repeating:

I mysteriously stopped getting my John Kerry e-mail, and I've discovered why: Yahoo had shuffled him to my bulk folder. Possibly triggered by the number of addressees the mail is sent to, possibly some other reason.

I've set up a special JK folder and a filter to deliver his messages there from now on; hopefully that'll do the trick.

If you have a spam blocker or a bulk mail folder, make sure you've "whitelisted" Kerry so that you don't miss his e-mails.

and they still had me in as a volunteer, so where do I alert them that I'm not getting the e-mails? I think this is the first one I missed.

6. I think I fixed it

I had to tool around a bit, but I found the place where you e-mail for technical issues or removal from mailing list. I filed it as a technical issue, and told them in comments what was happening. At the bottom is the checkmark thing for if you want to receive mailings, I made sure that box was checked, submitted, and within a few minutes I got the mailing list confirmation. Kind of a roundabout way of doing it, but hell, it worked.

I haven't gotten the last two either and now I am wondering what happened! I'd try your way if it will correct the problem.

12. OK Sydnie and Ginny

Sorry nobody seemed to be around last night and I had to go to bed, but IT WORKED!!!! I got info mail this morning about Condi!!

I don't have the link and don't get how to post them, but here is what I did: Go to JohnKerry.com and make sure you're still registered as a volunteer. If your password works, you are. Then go to the volunteer center, and then link to the choice about unsubscribing or technical issues. (I didn't see it before because I had a mental block about unsubscribing. Don't even want to be near that page!)
Once you get there, choose the technical issues link, and it will give you a form with e-mail, name, blah, blah...it gives a space for message, so I put in that I wasn't getting the updates. Then at the bottom, there is a spot to check a box if you want to be on the mailing list. I checked the box, submitted the form, and a few minutes later, I got the thank you confirmation. This morning I had mail from the web site. I wish I could do the link thing, but...I always seem to do things the hard way. Techno-:dunce:

14. Still confused!

I got to the volunteer center and am signed in. The page says "Welcome back, Ginny" Is that the page to find the tech issues link? Or did I miss a step? Thanks for your help!

15. ok this is what I did

I had a "change password" email sent to me in my inbox. On the bottom of it is a little "contact us" link. That took me to the tech issues page, and I put my email in again, and unchecked and rechecked the box about wanting to receive email. I also said in the message box that I wasn't receiving emails. I sent that, and I did get a confirmation--"thankyou for signing up" email. So we will see if I will get actually messages now! Here's hoping.
