Yikes - tornado warning here
Edited on Sun Apr-02-06 07:37 PM by WildEyedLiberal
The good news: The storm system is mostly west of Champaign County, so there's nothing bad here yet.

The bad news: My home county, where my parents live, is right in the middle of it, and several tornadoes have touched down. I can't get ahold of my parents - when I call their house, the phone rings and rings and the answering machine doesn't pick up, so the phone lines must be down.

I really hate being in the Midwest in April. :scared:

Edit: Shit, nevermind, the tornado siren just went off. Since I live in a third-floor apartment, hopefully they don't decide to get too close.

1. Please stay safe!
I suppose you have to go in the bathroom, right? I used to live in the midwest and there also was a bad tornado near where I lived in the Atlanta area. It was in the middle of the night and my dog jumped on me he was so scared, but luckily it didn't get too close to me.

Let us know when you're given the "all clear"!

3. I have been through a tornado
in Maryland, in October 2001. Just get to a lower floor and interior room and you will be fine.
