the taxpayers won't be paying the legal bills - any contributions aren't deductible.

It seems they just want the story out there that Kerry has a legal cloud over his head - though a civil suit is really not equivilent to the criminal Republican clouds.

Why do these totally disgraced felons keep coming to the surface. They're hardier than cockroches. In a way, the vileness of the when leading this is good - the contrast between a convicted felon like Liddy and the honorable, decent, clean Senator should be obvious to any thinking person.

Even the charges are ludicrous - Kerry had every right to disagree with their view and to express his disagreement - especially when his views conform to all the records of the time - from Kerry's personal navy records, FBI surveillance where he was deemed to be not a threat, the transcript of his Senate testimony, to the news accounts of the day. They're proof is "They don't like him, he said things they didn't like so they could make up lies."
