For the VA folks
dkos post - Harris or Webb?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/4/9/95027/74125

Webb appears to be winning...I don't know if I'm going to jump into that fray or not, I have to leave soon. Just thought I'd let you all know in case you're feeling feisty.

1. I'm not registered on DKos
But what I have read, there are good points being made by a few. They are basically saying why jump on a bandwagon before you know the facts about both.

This back and forth on Dkos or any other site really doesn't bother me, most of those talking up Webb are not even in Virginia, what happens on the ground is important. They thought it would work for Dean, but as was proven it did not.

Still waiting for my Miller bumpersticker, can't wait to put it on my car, along with my Veteran for Kerry and Kerry/Edwards sticker.

2. I responded, and found the thread to be 50 - 50
I suppose I ought to learn more about Harris Miller, but I have heard quite enough about Webb. He's not just a jerk, he's not even any good as a candidate. Allen would destroy him in two seconds (and THAT is pretty damn pathetic considering Allen's lacking a . . . you know . . . brain and all).

That some Kossacks support Webb because he seems to be the more electable of the two guys yet Kos and many pepole like him hated it when this was the situation with Kerry in 2004. I read the post article too, I am definely more impressed by Miller now. I'm mot really impressed by Webb, I'll vote for him if he's the nominee but I'd prefer Miller he seems more likable and more my kind of democrat even though I am a traditional liberal and he's a Virginia MOderate democrat which is cool perhaps a Senator Miller could use some of what has worked here in the commonwealth in the senate than things may be good. Saw the quote by Leslie Bryne too, its nice that the man opposed the war and all but the thing to me is we need people who can repair the damage in Iraq whether they supported it or not.

4. They added a poll on Miller/Webb
MH's and Beachmom's pots are great - they really should start people thinking. (They seem down to the "electable" argument that I thought Deaniacs hate - consistency is not their strength.)
