See? Your reaction illustrates everything. NO ONE knows who the fuck Rod Blagojevich is except for people from Illinois, who don't particularly like him. WHY is he being bandied about as a potential Presidential candidate?
He won in 2002 because George Ryan (who TODAY was convicted on 18 counts of fraud, racketeering, and tax evasion for his corruption while Secretary of State and Governor) tarnished the Illinois GOP beyond recognition. The Illinois GOP is a disgraceful shambles and only an idiot could lose to them.
So of course, the governor is an idiot. He exemplifies arrogant Chicago machine politics - refuses to live in Springfield, slashes the budget of the University of Illinois every year, and ends up in the headlines for his stupid Chicago cronyism scandals and public spats with his father-in-law, a Chicago city alderman.
It'd be really nice to not be embarassed by my state government all the time. :banghead:

As an Illinoisan, all I have to say is... ugh.
I must say that Blagojevich is a true test of my yellow dog devotion. God, I dislike the man, but I dislike Rethugs more.
