JK will be on Stephanie Miller tomorrow morning. |
|
(Sorry if this is a dupe.) She had me in tears this morning talking about the death of her dog Chester.

Stephanie is a big flirt. She basically told Sen. Feingold that she wanted to be considered for 3rd wife. (Great interview. Sen. Feingold giggled on the air. Not be missed.)

Hmmmm, important Senate business. There is that 'funding the Iraq war' bill on the pending business table.

10. I skimmed the hearings |
|
but I didn't see Kerry. (BTW, the hearing on Math & Science education in the Commerce comm was very good. I recommend it if you get a chance.)
I don't know if Kerry was at the SFRC on India and nukes. I could have missed him.

11. Sen. Kerry had an SBA hearing this morning. |
|
The hearing is supposed to have been webcast, but it is not yet up. It might have been Hector's Last Stand. It might have been a classic moment in which Hector could have stood up, apologized for wasting everyone's time for 5 years and for his severe incompetence and boot-licking ways. It could have been great.
Or it could have been another Committee hearing. I will never know as they have stopped web-casting them. (What the hell. These are my fav hearings ever. No one, but no one will ever be like Hector. He would sit down and proceed to be unable to answer any questions for about an hour and half. He didn't care. I think Kerry intimidated him, but, you know, he still got to go back to the office and warm a chair and still get a federal paycheck. Sigh! Nobody lied like Hector did.)
Anyway, the distinguished gentleman from Massachusetts was, undoubtedly at this hearing this morning, taking care of business and buying the staff champagne to celebrate Hector's departure. I did read that the Admin is bringing in a VP from Big, Big, Business (ServiceMaster) to be the knew Chief Stooge at SBA. It is the Admin's idea of a cruel joke that ServiceMaster runs Terminex. Just what the nation needs, another exterminator.

I noticed that he was absent for at least the first 2 votes and the 3rd vote is not up yet, but I didn't see him.

He did not vote on the border security votes (and he did not vote yesterday either).
I wonder where he is.

I wonder what happened. He almost never misses votes.
No committee Hearings and I couldn't see the SBA one, because it wasn't web-cast. Maybe he wasn't there.
Gee.
I saw the Senator on Monday (on my tv) in Mass. He was at the anti-LNG rally in Fall River. Ain't seen him since. (MH and I saw him Sunday on New Hampshire TV, WMUR. MH hates me now. I get to see a lot more Kerry in my neck of the woods than she does. Oh, and my dog's head is too big.)
