Thursday night Kerry Catnip.
I found this the other day when I was looking for something else (Kerry related, of course) and thought y'all might enjoy it. The link includes some yummy (but unfortunately small :-() photos. This is different from another windsurfing article that has been posted before, although it does contain some of the same nip.

He said that in four years with the demands of the job, Kerry has amassed a whopping 15 to 20 days total of kiteboarding time. He estimated that included about 9 days four years ago, 7 days three years ago and only two days in each of the last two years. Despite the infrequent shredding sessions, Kerry stays upwind, transitions well and has been working on jumping. I think it took me about a year to stay upwind, all be it over five years ago with less effective gear. Kerry's performance is pretty impressive for such a short time on the water kiteboarding.

Nevin said the Senator is a methodical guy, he gets as much information as he can about a challenge, thinks about it and figures out an approach in his mind and then just does it. Nevin said the Senator might call in February with an idea or question about kiteboarding or windsurfing when the harbor is frozen over, just because he is thinking about it. My comment to that was “that sure makes him sound normal!”

Nevin quiped John Kerry is just a "boardhead" just like the rest of us. When he campaigning in Iowa and passes by a reservoir that is full of white caps, Nevin can guess what John Kerry may be thinking about. He is human like the rest of us and when the wind gets into your blood, your attention can be drawn to it. Like that is news to us, right? Despite that lots of kiteboarders successfully carry a load of responsibility as doctors, attorneys, engineers, pilots and a wide diversity of other professions. I think the combination or kiteboarding and work demands helps us to function more effectively.

This also gives us numbers 2 days in 2003 and 2 in 2004. Not a whole lot of time.

6. That says a lot about how his mind works at solving problems not present
at the moment...how he works at solutions to things even in "off-season."

That's true genius, and the detailed kind of mind, and guy whose eye is everything at once...even when it seems he's merely focused elsewhere.

THAT's the Prez. this country desparately needed in '04...as much as NOW.

7. To be fair, I'm sure * does the same thing.
Take brush clearing for example. I'm sure * starts thinking about brush clearing in January or February, as he's sitting in the Oval Office waiting for spring to arrive. The conversation in his head would go something like this:

"I can't wait until spring comes so I can clear some brush. Clearin' brush means I'm gonna move it. In other words, I'm going to take it from one place and MOVE it to another place. I'm gonna clear it.

I think this year I'm gonna chop it with a machete. Machete sounds like a FOREIGN word. I wonder what foreign, machetes come from? I'll have to ask Condi.

After I clear the brush, I'm gonna burn it. In other words I'm gonna set FIRE to it. I think I'll use lighter fluid, he he. I like fire. It makes pretty colors and poppin' sounds like Rice Krispies. I like Rice Krispies. I think I'll have some for breakfast before clearin' brush. He he.

I need a snack. Plannin' is hard work."

See, * is methodical and plans just like John Kerry.

Sounds right to me. The only difference is that that might be the sum total of Bush's thought processes for the day.
