Hey, everyone! I am in Boston, MA!!!!
I'm here for a museums conference! I've been all wrapped up in it. Staying over in the Copley Square area. Been here since Friday and am going home Monday. We had an event at the Kennedy Library tonight. What a great place. John Kennedy was a smart, smart man and it really makes the chimp in chief look that much more dumb.

Anyway, hey Tay Tay!

It's so great to be in John Kerry's town! It just makes me feel good.

3. I have been once before
with my kids and we saw all of the historical sights. It's so great to be back. Those of you who remember my posts may remember I am from Texas (Sugar Land, Tom DeLay's district!), so it is so much fun to be in such a liberal minded place!

Everyone should come here at least once. It's a beautiful, fun city with so much to do, great people and the BEST food!

4. Hey there!
I still remember that blog so fondly and for some reason have been bringing it up a lot lately to people in Houston. :)

6. yeh, the blog was amazing.
And it was so indicative of why Kerry was right for the Presidency but not Bush. No wonder they had to steal the vote in many states.

5. Ack! I was at the Museum of Science today in Boston

We could have met. Darn!

I went to the Star Wars and Imagination show at the MOS. It was pretty cool! (Robots everywhere! Cool idea of using Star Wars to show off the concept of real life science. Did you know that the MOS's Director of their new program on getting high schools to teach practical engineering just testified before the Senate Commerce Committee on Competitiveness, Science and Innovation. Who, oh who, could have heard of that program and possibly invited the head of the BMOS program to come and testify on Capitol Hill? Gee, that's a stumper.) http://www.mos.org/doc/1505

The late President Kennedy was a good man. We have been privileged around here to have produced some very good people in our history. (Geez, I hope that continues.)

I wish I had known you were coming. You haven't heard the lecture yet about old stuff and wicked old stuff. Sigh! BTW, if you get a few minutes, take a walk around the Boston Common and Beacon Hill. Beautiful, beautiful time to see those places.

I love that dirty water......

7. I did intend to give you fair warning, Tay Tay!
But I have been EXTREMELY busy to the point that people are asking, "are you ok?" You know, because I look crazed! Seriously, busy and wiped out. It's actually good to be here at this conference (although it is pretty grueling) because it gets me away from all of the work and worry back at home.

How COOL on the MOS stuff and getting them involved with the legislature. Those MOS people are fantastic. I know different people on their staff, but not the one in charge of that program.

8. One of my neighbors is attending that conference.
His wife was just talking about it. He's the director of a local State Historical Site here on the island. It sounds like a great event. Glad you're having a good time!

13. Well, OK then!
I'm absolutely positive I met your friend's husband! We met at a session on leadership yesterday. We broke out into small groups for a discussion. Then, last night there was an evening event at the Harvard museums. On the bus trip back to the hotels, we sat together and compared notes on our museums, the conference and our kids! He has a 4 month old and my kids are teens so it was fun to talk about being parents of kids at those stages. His museum is very different from mine and it was interesting to learn about it. I've read about the lost colony at Roanoke in the past and that has always fascinated me, so it was fun to meet a museum director who focuses on that.

What a coincidence!

9. AUUGHH! My god! Why couldn't you have waited one month!?
Ok, I know you had no control over that. But still. :-) I'm leaving in a month and will be there all summer. Any chance you might be back up that way?
