3. There have been studies like this for a long time.
It's one of the factors they look at when they examine species that disappear rapidly in places like the wetlands.

Oh no, we're not scary in here, oh no.

Cheesus!

I was watching the Red Sox/Yankees game and about split a gut on this one. Geez, I guess this is a jump-start for the environmental movement.

Text: Bush on Energy and Fuel Prices
By The Associated Press
Tue Apr 25, 1:01 PM ET

Here is the text of President Bush's remarks Tuesday on energy, as transcribed by CQ Transcriptions.

BUSH: Thank you all for coming. Now that you're here, please be seated. Thank you all.

Snip...

Ethanol has got the largest potential for immediate growth. Most people may not know this, but today most of ethanol produced in America today is from corn. Most vehicles can use 10 percent ethanol in their automobiles.

Snip...

The way I like to put it would be — it's a good thing when a president can sit there and say, gosh, we've got a lot of corn. And that means we're less dependent on foreign sources of oil.

Years back, they'd say, oh, gosh, we've got a lot of corn and worried about the price.

Snip...

And so, we're strongly committed to corn-based ethanol produced in America. Yet you've got to recognize there are limits to how much corn can be used for ethanol. I mean, after all, we got to eat some. And animals have got to eat.

Snip...

Last year I went out to see a biodiesel refinery in Virginia that's making clean-burning fuel from soybean oil. And it was a really interesting process to watch. I don't know if you know this or not, but they are able to use waste products like recycled cooking grease to manufacture biodiesel.

The Sierra Club reported an increase in membership today of 149 million women, while shares of Scotts Lawn products dropped 97% since the opening bell.

13. True. ChemLawn goes out of business and
Bush's new pick for SBA head has a lot of 'splainin to do. (Ahm, he ran a lawn chem company..... obscure reference of the day.)

Well, that explains that Codpiece on that aircraft carrier three years ago today. Repub over-compensating again.

It's too late, btw, GV, we already 'went there.'

I will post during commercials. That might help my coherence factor. (Or not.)

My sh*tbag Gov is there. Yuck. I know, deep in my soul, that he is not a real Sawx fan. He is a front-runner and not a real fan. I just know it.

The Red Sox traded back for a catcher who can actually catch Tim Wakefield's knuckleball. (A very difficult pitch to catch as it drops suddenly and appears where you don't think it will. Really.) Anyway, the new/old catcher arrived at game time via State Trooper. (It's a Yankees game. It was a special escort.)

The wrong occupant of Louisburg Square in on after the game tomorrow night. The Sawx invited Jack Welch, former GE CEO, to sit in and pretend he knows something about baseball. Damn. Rethugs and Yankees.

Sigh!

18. Even with four brothers
I couldn't learn to throw a knuckleball or make my curve break. Oh well, 'girls'.
I do love baseball, though. You're lucky to have the Sox. The Pirates haven't stirred much excitement since the 70s. Small market teams, no money for the big talent.
I didn't know Jack Welch had such a famous neighbor! Learn something new every day.

And a Rethug. (Welch grew up in Salem.)

Yup, he lives down the street on that famous little patch of Boston. So does Robin Cook, the author.

I think the houses were barely in the million-range when he got up there. (Long time and many renovations ago.... )

Teddy lived up there once. But he never got any shit for it. Sigh!

He utterly and totally rules.

(Much jumping up and down and rejoicing around here. My mild-mannered daughter is yelling, "take that you bastards." I brought her up right. We hate to lose. Especially to them.
