Must-see (for Kerry fans) DKos Diary |
|
If I say what the point of the diary is, I'll basically be reposting the whole diary here. Just read it. You'll be glad you did. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/5/2/05717/53714

It's amazing that our own citizens would throw out the people who understand what this country is about better than they do.

3. Wonderful story. Thanks! |
|
Not that it made sense before, but at this point would you tell anyone you named your child after Bush?

And I think "Kerry" is a great name for a boy! :)
My reply was that someone once said that a politician is a person that you think is just like you, but a leader is the person that you want to be, and that John Kerry is a real leader.

8. I rec'd and commented, too. |

That's why I'll go over to dKos. There really are good people over there; they're just not always the loudest. What a great diary. It should have been on the Rec List. Oh well, at least it was written and posted.

who is married to a Kerry (male) whose oldest daughter is a girl, Kari. This is an enormous compliment to Kerry. He clearly inspired someone. I've heard people name kids after Presidents or cultural icons, but Kerry had so much less chance to engage people than a President would. He genuiely is someone who could really inspire people.

How many times have you read this diary? Does it make you happy, sad or both? What would it take for you to name your child after someone?
Words fail. Thanks for posting, ND.

He should be proud that someone named a child in his honor. :)

I just think that's the most awesome tribute. I'm sure he'll appreciate it.
