3. An enema of truth.
I was ranting earlier but then tiredness hit me like a load of bricks and I'm trying to cram for my final quickly before I pass out.

6. That's beautiful. Beats my RL Kerry-related meltdown on Monday by a mile.

It was over that nasty piece of anti-Kerry propaganda on the fucking front fucking page of the WSJ yesterday, the point of which, as far as I could tell, was to imply--yet again--that Kerry-in-Skull-&-Bones=Kerry=BushLover + native-american-grave-robber. Which was a new one, I thought, if an incredibly stupid one. My parents were READING THAT "STORY" ALOUD IN OUR FAMILY KITCHEN WHEN I STOPPED BY THE HOUSE YESTERDAY and LAUGHING. Then my Dad (the "Libertarian") said both Bush and Kerry and other Skull & Bones members were going to get charged with violating NAGPRA. Ugh. I was forced to re-explain for like the third time that a) using emotionally manipulative ploys to set up matchstick non-arguments about...nothing that are really just weak excuses to push propaganda is PROPAGANDA in the WALL STREET JOURNAL, and b) Skull & Bones really DOESN'T have some secret "hold" on Kerry in this day and age, is actually...the least interesting thing about his "relationship" with the Bush folks, and is...something stupid that nutty rightwingers blather about online and NO ONE ELSE CARES ABOUT (sorry to any members we may have here, including, hey, OUR TRUE PRESIDENT; I'm a member of a similar society and I continue to care a lot about that--IN PRIVATE. AND THEY CALL ME FOR DONATIONS ONCE A YEAR, THEY DON'T HAVE ME BRAINWASHED).

Apologies. We were discussing your meltdown, Vek. I just--how many times can they do the Skull & Bones angle? Can we be DONE with this? I can't believe I actually had to RE-EXPLAIN to my parents, both of whom completed allegedly challenging post-graduate degree programs that Kerry didn't personally steal Geronimo's skull from its rightful burying place.

As the Washington Post reports, Rear Admiral William L. Schachte Jr., the man who claims Kerry was not under fire when he received his first Purple Heart, is a top lobbyist for a defense contractor that recently won a $40 million grant from the Bush administration. According to a March 18 legal filing by Schachte's firm, Blank Rome, Schachte was one of the lobbyists working for FastShip's effort to secure federal contracts.2 On Feb. 2, FastShip announced the Bush administration had awarded it $40 million.3

Schachte has other connections to the Bush administration. The Washington Post notes David Norcross, Schachte's colleague in the Washington office of Blank Rome, is chairman of this week's Republican convention in New York.4 Records show that Schachte gave $1,000 to Bush's 2000 and 2004 campaigns.5 Additionally, Schachte helped organize veterans' efforts against Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and for Bush in the 2000 South Carolina primary.6

11. This stuff got it's start in Mass
Edited on Tue May-09-06 10:26 AM by TayTay
And was first raised hard in that '84 Senate race. (Gee, who was helping Kerry's opponent in Massachusetts way back in the early '80s? Hmmm, who still had a hand in the College Republicans back then? Guys named Norquist and Abramoff. Gawd, I hate Mass-affiiated Repubs. They are like some sort of disease.)

9. Intersting!
I stumbled into a right wing site and they were discussing this very issue AGAIN. I replied that all of Kerry's records had been released and I had seen copies to which they replied - he only had released what he asked for and wanted others to see. So it looks like they are trying to discredit him again with the same old bullsh*t.
I am going to utilize Vector's suggestion. I am going to turn this sh*t right back at them.

12. Maybe Kerry will have to get
an official Navy endorsement that what he had (or if he runs again, has) on his website is full and complete, listing and explaining whatever was excluded (personal medical records)

Kerry put more person documents in the public eye than anyone ever has.

It is interesting that they are buiding this up again - I imagine there are two reasons:

1) They see Kerry more clearly as a threat than the Democrats do.
2) Kerry is embracing and explaining his protests. I hope he also ends up explaining his move (and his leading others) to VVA. This gives Kerry strength and makes it harder for others to suggest that there was something hidden or not kosher in Kerry's protests.

13. They want to take Kerry out again by raising doubts
He must be hitting a nerve and getting some decent coverage. The Swift Liars believe that they are responsible for taking Kerry out of the race in '04. It is a point of pride for them to hobble up out of the swamp and spew filth whenever the good Senator starts to get some traction on the national scene for his views.

Kerry was dead-on in his recent speechs about dissent and Iraq. So, cue the swamp things. They refuse to see that every time they raise their mud-covered paws and try to spew there will be others who say just how awful they are. That's how it is with scum.

19. He was.
Clear as day - total RW troll. I did have a post deleted for calling him out before he got deleted, but it was so obvious that's what he was - I thought it would be ok, to say it because he was one of those flagrant "suicide mission" bashers.

I'm ok with the deletion of my post though. The mods did a great job of cleaning up his attacks. Fair enough.
