1. I voted today, too. Through Oregon's lovely (and clean) mail-in system.
Well, since it was election day, I took my ballot and my roommate's to the elections' office and handed them over, which I would have done whether I had waited until election day to turn it over or not (the U.S. Postal Service and I are NOT on good terms). I'm sure you do miss your lever. I hope your vote was counted.

2. Heh, I voted AND was minority inspector.
ALL friggin day.

New Danaher machines.

Telling people all day, Philly's had these for years and never had any problems, even Committee of Seventy is okay with them. We could have done much worse for an electronic voting machine.

Got home around 10:30 pm, log into DU and see a thread in LBN "100 machines broke down in Philly today".

Sigh.
