I still have Kerry's appearance on The Daily Show on my TiVo

Every once in a while, I watch it again, and it's bittersweet. But my favorite moment is when Jon Stewart leans forward on the arm of the couch on his crossed arms, and Kerry matches it on the other side, so that they're face to face in a mock stare-down. Kerry, IMHO, is just damn adorable. Wish I could network my TiVo so I could capture that screenshot.

(And, man, those HANDS when he shakes hands with Stewart.)

i think someone actually had a screen shot of it on DU. i can't remember who but i remember seeing the image posted as part of their sig line.

5. Some how when I pictured that moment

(since I didn't get to see it) I did not picture Kerry grinning like a moose. Tell me he started that as mock serious, THEN broke into the smile.

7. That was a great appearance

Fun show. "We can do the inaugural right here." "You may be 1/4 quarter Jew, but I'm all Jew." Funny stuff.

8. I was so nervous

before that show. I was afraid he might come across as stiff. Slate trashed the appearance :mad: but I thought it was wonderful. He let Jon be funny, and he was loose but dignified.

9. Damn, I wish I'd seen that

but I don't get cable. Stewart got lambasted for that on Crossfire, they said he was basically too nice (actual words were something like "you want to become Kerry's butt boy" terrible homophobia). Again, I did not see that either only saw it on the web.
