Kerry: “Do you think I ought to do it again?”
Kerry Whips Up Local Ohio Dems
May 21st, 2006 @ 12:07 pm

Word has it, that John Kerry sure sounded like a candidate yesterday when he visited the Utica farm of former state senator Gene Branstool.

Kerry, who visited the Courthouse Square in Newark in September 2004 during his unsuccessful presidential campaign, answered the question on everybody’s mind, “Are you running for president?” with a question of his own.

“Do you think I ought to do it again?”

The crowd shouted back in the affirmative.

8. The 13th picture is really good too
Kerry is pointing up - the text says something to the effect that Kerry knows who to thank for the good weather

(I can't figure out how to put the picture here.

9. I know I'll probably get slammed for this, but if Karma is true than . . .
Edited on Sun May-21-06 03:21 PM by Klimmer
the next President and Vice President should be Al Gore and John Kerry.

In my mind that would be the dream team. They both deserve it having had the Rethugs steal the elections of 2000 and 2004.

I admire them both very much. And Karma says so.

I honestly think they are grown-up enough men, that they would work it out just perfectly. Then John would be President following Al.

I know I live in a dream world but at least it's a perfect one! It's my happy place. Everyone needs a happy place . . . especially these days.

On-edit:

Al Gore and John Kerry would be such a powerhouse. Just think about it. It brings tears of joy to my eyes thinking of the potential and possibilities. Two very strong men and full of truth, valor, and honesty, and love for the environment. Two men who just want to do the right and honest thing. They could kick-serious-ass and really clean-up our corrupt government and make the USA once more a beacon of hope. Put all those Neo-con criminals in prison and throw away the keys for eternity (I don't believe in the death penalty).

10. No reason to slam you for that
I think Gore/Kerry would be a good ticket for the '08 campaign. You can call it the karma ticket, or the 'we told you so' ticket.
I absolutely believe JK can (and will) win in the top spot, though. I also think Kerry/Gore or Kerry/whoever would be better for running the country.

Besides, Gore won't run. He said it again yesterday in Cannes.

16. Maybe he's being really smart.
How many DC insiders and media folks say he shouldn't do it? He should get as many crowds as possible to say he should run again. I think it's a really canny move, whether he realizes it or not.

17. True, true! To Hell with the pundits and the insiders!
Let the people speak! Nobody else can generate these large crowds or such enthusiasm.

21. i think he enjoys it in a way
just like last time, the pundits, media , etc were not on his side. he knows who he has on his side if he does run again. and he knows most voters are willing to give him another look whether or not they end up voting for him. he is up to the challenge on trying to convince people to vote for him again.

The world he's trying to make a difference in is entirely fucked up and getting more so, but he's like my own personal star by which to navigate in a rapidly darkening sky. There's nothing I wouldn't do for him, honestly. Kisses, President Kerry. Stay strong (and safe).
