Kerry reminds me of Sam Waterston as Jack McCoy for some reason

I am a Law and Order geekazoid so be it. I know that McCoy supports the death penalty in many circumances and bends the rules but the parrell I find in the two guys is they always search for justice and truth, and that's admirable to me.

1. In appearance perhaps; but Kerry is my beloved Adam Schiff made real.

Adam Schiff is one of the best television characters of all time. If he were a real person, I would get married to him. He was by far the best attorney, most liberal, most intelligent, least sexist and least obnoxious character on that series. Perfect. Precious. In terms of their stated ideologies and belief systems, Kerry is Adam Schiff all the way. Well, if Adam Schiff had wanted to be a U.S. senator, or Kerry had wanted to be a district attorney.

2. Adam Schiff is actually said to be loosely based off of

Manhattan's real DA, Robert Morgenthau, son of Henry Morgenthau the tresury secretary of FDR. I definely think Adam Schiff was great though. Not only because of he was politically but because he treated his attorneys with respect. I like him much better than Branch honestly.

3. I like every single one of the most vile and despicable t.v. characters

ever better than Arthur Branch. I'll even take Nate Fucking Fischer over Arthur Branch. Arthur Branch was what killed L & O, in my opinion. Well, after the atrocity that was making a franchise out of the Law & Order concept, starting with the misogynist, voyeuristic, scatalogical Special Victims Unit, which is among the worst, most offensive television shows ever created. It's nice that Fred Dalton Thompson (who stands a good chance of being McCain's choice for VP candidate, I think) is getting work...I guess...but even seeing the few episodes I have with Branch in them makes me--one gave me a migraine. I miss my Adam. And decency in the positions of L & O's district attorneys.

4. McCain having Thompson as his running mate wouldnt surprise me

I liked Schiff because he was fair and he didn't treat his attorneys like they were inferior to him like Branch does with McCoy and did with the ADAs.
