Jeb letter to Swiftliars on Daou
Check this out. And they say they had nothing to do with the attacks. Right.

1. Pretty f-ed up stuff
Why doesn't Pete post on the boards anymore? He really did a great job staying positive and on topic even during the days of the worst attacks on Kerry in the pre Iowa Caucus days. I said it then but I tip my hat to you guys, you guys dealt with the most bullshit of any 2004 presidential candidate and you didn't abandon Kerry.

3. He is BUSY
He's got the UN blog and does a bunch of other consulting. His wife is a musician too, so I'm sure he's busy with her as well.

5. amazing! It's like the press release they had that showed the
swifties and the Florida Rep. party inviting people to the picnic in 04. Soon as word got out, it was cancelled.

Nope...no connection whatsoever.

6. I just saw that in GD:P and was going to post it here. It's
made me ill to think of the blatancy of both Jeb and his dealings with the devil so cavalierly.

8. So George and Laura Bush lied on CNN
When they pretended to have no clue about the Swift Liars!

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2654558&mesg_id=2654558

Then again, Bush's own lawyer was working for them!

9. SOMEONE at the RNC and/or White House knew
They very well could have kept it away from the President but still used them on his behalf. Regardless, this absolutely makes me ILL. Even though Jeb Bush is the brother of the President, I still can't believe that a Governor would send a letter thanking people who vociferously attacked the honorable war record of a real American war hero. SICK SICK SICK.

11. The person at the WH was George Bush!
Sorry, but with the campaign lawyer and another campaign worker connected to the Liars and all the other connections, Bush knew. What a lame excuse too. That question was posed to him many times. Kerry called on him to condemn the attacks, and he pretends to not have seen the ads! He's a liar! Bush knew---the Liars were a front for the Bush campaign, and Jeb's letter proves it!

But whatever ... he let it happen and it was his campaign. Don't get me wrong ...he definitely deserves to be blamed for it.

14. Bush was a campaign STRATEGIST for 3 decades working with Atwater and
Rove. Anything political and dirty goes through Bush. He hates policy but loves POLITICS.

17. Want to see some amazing stuff!
Edited on Wed May-31-06 03:14 PM by ProSense
First this editorial from the Globe (this is the point the entire MSM should have made):

Here we have a group of bitter veterans who detest Kerry's leadership in opposing the war 30 years ago and are willing to say almost anything -- frequently contradicting their own earlier statements -- to hurt Kerry's candidacy. They turn to Bush's top political lawyer for advice on campaign finance laws and then to one of Bush's top campaign contributors to fund their attack ads.

No memo trail needs to be found linking Bush personally to Ginsberg and the veterans' group; the connection is apparent.

For far too long this attack has worked to Bush's advantage. Even when Kerry and other veterans were defending his war service effectively, Vietnam headlines were obscuring stories on the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuses, rising deficits, growing poverty, declining health coverage, and more soldiers dying nearly every day in Iraq.

Ginsberg resigned his Bush campaign position with unintended comedy, saying he was saddened that his role had "become a distraction from the critical issues at hand in this election." Was he suggesting this bogus smear is a critical issue?

Now the politics of the issue seems to be catching up with the facts. The story is no longer Vietnam but the smear. Bush, realizing that the tide has turned against him, is trying to back-pedal and change the subject -- proposing yesterday that both campaigns join in challenging the so-called 527 groups, like the veterans and some Democratic and Republican groups, that use unregulated "soft" political contributions from wealthy donors and special interests to influence campaigns. There is a legitimate 527 issue. The members of the Federal Election Commission, appointed by Bush and Bill Clinton, have betrayed their office by not reining in groups that are too closely aligned with both campaigns.

But that is not the issue with the anti-Kerry veterans. The issue is Bush -- his refusal to condemn a patently false attack, his willingness to try to reap some political reward on the cheap, his utter lack of leadership in brushing off the role played by his close political aides.

That's not the only reason the FEC betrayed its office. I truly believe from phone jamming to this stuff, all of it was linked to election fraud. Look at the players: NASA chief Sean O'Keefe, Tom Feeney (http://www.dccc.org/gopauctionhouse/members/TomFeeneyFL-24.html), Benjamin Ginsberg (Bush Swift Liars lawyer, Yang Enterprises, Inc. (the company cited by Clint Curtis).

This is not BS stuff! These are actual claims filed and handled by the FEC's (I know all claims dont mean automatic guilt, but given all that we now know, this stuff is too coincidental and reflective of the GOP). This reminds me of the recent IRS report about church violations and the SS administration officials stumping for Bush. All linked to this power grab!

21. IDEA - Let's BOMBARD Rolling Stone with letters - they've printed a few of
mine in the past, when I was involved in the industry.

It might make them take REAL NOTICE of how wanted Kerry was for president.

I know alot of the older guys at RS were huge Kerry fans because they followed all his investigations better than other magazines.
